Persuade ― Kim Jongdae

She had a fast pace out the door as soon as the final bell rang. Hastily slinging her backpack over her shoulder, she only carried it over one shoulder. Passing through the crowd of people, it took a quite a long while before she could reach the main gate and breathe in the air outside of school.

"I thought a more athletic person like me would get here faster but turns out, you always reach here first," Jongdae spoke with staggered breathing from his jog to catch up with her.

Blankly looking at the messy haired guy in front of her, she shrugged her shoulders slightly before turning to walk back home. But in a quick second, he held his hand on hers, forcing her to stop her steps and turn to the lad.

"Let's walk back the long way," inquiring with a bright expression.

"Why?" softly replying to his request with a questioning tired tone.

"You'll see, now come on!" slightly tugging on her hand that he held, the warmth of his hand somehow made her agree.

As they took the long way back to her house, they listened to music together through shared earphones. Their feet walking in sync, with him matching her pace due to her legs being slightly shorter compared to his.

Passing by people from all walks of life, the music that she heard someone fitted the situation perfectly. Like how soft, sweet ballads played in dramas. Viewing her surroundings and listening to the music, she felt like the character of a drama during the scenes where the character just takes a second to appreciate the world around them.

After awhile, they arrived in front of her house. She quickly took out the earphone that snuggled in his ears and placed it in hers. Slightly waving, she started to slowly walk inside.

But again, he held her back with his hand gently taking her hand.
