"Did anything happen lately, Jongdae?" she asked as they walked their way back home with the help of the street lights and lights from the surrounding houses in guiding them through the streets of the neighbourhood.

"What makes you think so?" Jongdae almost halted his steps at her question, but he didn't turn to face her, not wanting her to see his slightly changed expression.

"Your question at the overpass," she said heavily as she stared at the ground, watching her feet move almost in sync with his steps.

"I don't know, it just came to me. Like a random passing thought, more or less," he replied with uncertainty because he wasn't sure himself on why he turned to come up with that question.

Jongdae's steps fell behind hers. He stretched his hand out and grabbed hers. He held her hand tightly, eventually making the both of them stand still. Turning to face him, Jongdae assured her with a bright smile, like he always does.

"Just keep on holding onto me tightly, you have nothing to be afraid of. I'll always be here for you," she stared at their hands for a moment before breaking into a smile.

Moving her gaze to look at Jongdae, "Thank you for staying."

"You've always told me that you're in a constant state of falling. I'll always be here. Even if it's trying to extend the rope to pull you up or be at the bottom to catch you in the end, I'll do whatever I can to help you," Jongdae paused his speech, brushing away the strand of hair that covered her eyes because of the wind.

"I know I can never make it disappear but I'll try to stay with you and give you strength. Remember, I'm that sun. Your sunshine."

"Truly you are that sunshine."

And we're left with one more chapter and an epilogue. Which will come within this week!
