Obstacles (A Sequel)

Chapter Ten

"Are you sure you're okay?" Mark asked as we lay in his bed that night. "You seemed a bit...well, not yourself at dinner." He sounded concerned and I rested my head on his chest.

"I love you so much," He smiled and kissed me before I told him about the message. "Well, Charlotte got a message today from one of our friends on Twitter telling me to 'watch my back'." I shrugged and he raised an eyebrow on a chuckle.

"Watch your back for what? I wouldn't worry too much about it." I argued that I wasn't and he pecked the top of my head before resting his on it.

We fell asleep laid like this and I woke up in the morning to find him still asleep and softly snoring; as his arm was still around me, I just rested my chin on his chest and watched him sleep, smiling as he slowly opened his eyes to the daylight shining through his curtains.

"Good morning," I grinned as he gave me a kiss and sat up on his elbows. "Good sleep?" He nodded as I sat up against my pillow. "Don't worry, that message hasn't been bothering me." He nodded as I passed him his phone and I got mine. He put his glasses on and opened up Twitter to send a morning tweet, and frowned as he had a direct message.

> Are you going to PAX?

"Is that all they messaged? It's not the sort of thing I would write in a direct message to you, probably just tweet it." I asked as I read it.

He shrugged and smiled. "No, you'd just flirt with me in a direct message!" He winked and I shook my head on a giggle before he stretched and looked at the time. "Do you wanna get up now or are you happy here?"

I sighed and gave a stretch. "I guess we'll get up, we've actually slept in a fair bit this morning!" I tutted as I got up and Mark held out his hands for me to drag him up, which proved difficult as he wasn't helping in any way at all. "You're not making this easy!"

He sighed and pulled himself up with the intent of landing on his feet very close to me. "Hi," He grinned as he pulled me closer for a deep kiss. "What's the plan?"

"You're the one who lives here," I muttered as I pulled him back for another kiss. "You tell me. What about a movie?"

I smirked as his hands snaked down and squeezed my ass. "You know my weakness," He moved to his closet and threw on his lucky flannel. "Movies it is! Get dressed." He smirked and I saluted, choosing an outfit to wear which consisted of a pale pink top and some grey jeans.

"I'll have a look at what's playing over breakfast, come on." He took my hand after he'd got dressed and led me down the stairs to the kitchen. "What do you want?"

"Surprise me!" I smiled and squeezed his hand as we entered the kitchen and I sat down at the table. "Good morning!" I said cheerily as his mum entered the kitchen too.

"Good morning, Georgia!" She replied as she passed through." What have you got planned for today?" She smiled as I watched Mark make us both coffees. "I see a great future for you two..." I beamed as she put on her jacket.

"We decided to go to the movies," Mark said as he poured the coffee. "Coffee, mom?" He asked as he brought mine to the table.

"No, thank you sweetie. I'm going to take Lucy her morning walk; have fun you guys!" She smiled as she placed the leash on Lucy who trotted happily behind her.

"Bye, mom!" Mark said as both her and Lucy walked out of the door, waving as she went. He brought his coffee to the table and sat opposite me, earning a sulk from me. "What?" He laughed.

I motioned for him to sit next to me and he sighed, taking the chair next to me. "Much better," I smiled as I sat close to him. "I can't get enough of you at the moment." He rolled his eyes and kissed my cheek.

"Are you feeling a bit protective of me?" He raised his eyebrow and I looked down sheepishly. "I'm not going anywhere anytime soon!" He chuckled.

I blushed and looked down at my hands. "I know, I guess I just wanted you to know how much you mean to me," He placed his arm around me and rubbed my shoulder affectionately as he finished his coffee.

He ruffled my hair and chuckled as I grumbled and he got his phone out to look for movies. "We'll grab something to eat first?" He questioned without looking from his phone, and I nodded.

"What about that one?" I asked, pointing to a film on his screen as I peered over his shoulder.

He tapped onto it and looked at screening times. "You have good taste, miss!" He smiled as he gave me a quick kiss on the lips. "We'll head out soon. We won't have a repeat of last time, will we?"

Not expecting the comment, I looked away from him sheepishly. "No, babe, of course not." He raised his eyebrows as I looked at him, urging me to explain. "It's a bit hypocritical of me, I know, but...I suppose it was just basic jealousy of these girls that come after you, and, well-" I was cut off as Mark quickly took the back of my neck and gave me a deep and passionate kiss, the type that always made me feel dizzy.

"I can't help it that I'm sex god!" He chuckled and I rolled my eyes on a smile. "But, seriously, I had female fans before, and I reckon I'll still have them after I'm married – that sounds so egotistical, but you know what I mean! Anyway, the only girl I'm interesting in dating is you." He placed his finger on my lips as I tried to object. "Yes, you were a fan, but something stuck with me about you that I've never seen before in a fan-" He pushed his hair back and pursed his lips. "Jesus, I sound like a dick..."

I placed my hand on his cheek and smiled gently. "I understand what you mean, and I'm sorry."

"Don't be." He shrugged as he got up and washed ourcups. "Even though I act like an idiot half of the time – well, most – I doreally love you and, haven't I mentioned before how much I hate cheaters? Iwould never even dream of being that guy." I snaked my arms around hiswaist from behind as he washed up and kissed his neck as he sighed deeplybefore going upstairs to put my makeup on.
