"Stop please," Mama yelled. Papa whipped her with the belt. "You deserve this, I trusted you to provide for this family." He yelled, Mama started talking. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm..." Her voice started to faded. Papa whipped her one last time. I waited for her reaction as the last whip Papa did sounded as if thunder was crackling. Mama opened her mouth and a piercing screech filled the empty silent spaces in the room. And finally as it reached me the poor innocent girl in the corner. Her screech sending blades and nails to my heart. I fell and collapsed to the ground crying. Papa kicked Mama and walked away, I rushed to check on her as he left. "Mama, Mama, Mama please show me you can hear." I pleated. I felt her pulse as it was so very weak as if it was thin ice. I jumped up running to the front door. I fast as I could go I sprinted to the neighbors house. I knocked on their door loudly. "Yes, little girl." I heard her say with bile in her tone. "It's my mama, she's hurt," I spoke in a urgent and concerned voice. "Hurry, hurry we can take the car, call the police too." I rushed to the car as she handed me her phone. You must think I am a idiot but our house didn't have a phone. It was only for the fear that we would call the police on Papa. I called 911 as soon as the car started to move.
"Hello, 911 what's your emergency." The woman said.
"My mother isn't breathing well and has a been whipped badly." I say trying to word it properly; still not doing a good job.
"Ok and what's your location."
I reply quickly, "2715 E Lone Oak Ave, California."
"Ok thank you and has this happened multiple times." Says the woman.
"Yes" I say, "Thank you." The calm woman says and hangs up just as we pull up to the drive way to see a ambulance.
