I waited in the white prison they call hospital. With its fluorescent lights and beeping noises. I plugged in my music, or my escape from the world.

"She lives in a fairy tale
Somewhere too far for us to find
Forgotten the taste and smell
Of a world that she's left behind
It's all about the exposure the lens I told her."
I start to him in between
"The angles are all wrong now
She's ripping wings off of butterflies
And the rest you can figure out
But it was a trick."

"Well you built up a world of magic
Because your real life is tragic
Yeah you built up a world of magic"

"If it's not real
You can't hold it in your hand
You can't feel it with your heart
And I won't believe it
But if it's true
You can see it with your eyes
Oh, even in the dark
And that's where I want to be, yeah."

"Go get your shovel
And we'll dig a deep hole
To bury the castle, bury the castle."

The song faded out and as if on cue the doctor came out. "We have good and bad news, the good news is she is alive. But we found out she has stage 2 breast cancer, and little days to live." He spoke, but the bad news hit me like an arrow, fast to hit slow to sink in. So I did the only logical thing. I sobbed and sobbed, the tears coming like a flood. Everyone looked at me. But they would never get. My only hope, friend, love, most of all my mama is going to die. And because of one person; just one. "Would you like to come see her." I nod my head and follow him to Mama's room. When I remember Papa. "What happened to my father." I sniffle, still crying. "He was sent to jail. He has a trail today." The doctor
says. "Oh" is all I can say. Before my thoughts drown me, we reach the room. I open the door to see Mama.
