The loud unfimiliar voices are what woke me up. After blinking a few times to try to focus I instantly regreted it, the fluroescent lights were harsh to my eyes and I felt a headache rushing in like tidal waves.
"She's awake, doctor."
Nurses and doctors all came rushing to my sides talking to eachother about things I didn't understand, and truth be told I didn't care to listen. The only thing on my mind was him.
I needed him.
Why wasn't he with me?
Why would he leave me alone?
Why am I even here?
I tried sitting upright, and the second I tried to move an excruciating pain shot through my ribcage and arms.
Looking down I saw the scarlet blood seeping through every stitch of the bandage, just begging to reach the surface.
Loosing all control over myself, I fell limp under my weight. The very last thing I remember before losing all conciousness over my body was your voice.
"KAYLA!"
"Kayla! I'm right here baby... stay with me!"
And just like that, everything went black.
