"...and I can hold on to the memories, but they wont hold me in the same way." Hold you - Nina Nesbitt

Skylar really wasn't lying when she said Arin was a big soccer star now. It amazed me, I mean yeah, Arin was always athletic but I never knew he would get this far.

I sat in the bleachers near the exit part where all the boys go in to change. There were a few other girls and one other boy watching the soccer practice. I didn't know much about soccer, so whenever Arin looked at me when he did something good I would just smile and nod my head. Soccer practice couldn't end fast enough, all I wanted was to talk to my best friend and catch up on everything that I've missed throughout his life.

When the practice was over he ran up to me and gave me a big sweaty hug, I squealed with disgust.

"Ew! Arinhead! Go change, you're all gross!"

And with that he laughed and ran to go change. The girls above gave a disgusting snort towards me but I couldn't care less... or at least I tried not too.

"Where you going?"

"I have my own car, Arin. I'll just meet you there."

"Uh, no. I'm driving, come on get in." Arin gave me a small smile and puppy dog eyes again. Great. My weakness.

"Well what about my car? I can't just leave it here silly!"

"Oh yes you can!"

Arin started running towards me when he finally realized I wasn't going to give in. I've always been a stubborn person and I wasn't going to stop now. I tried running away from him but since I was in heels I didn't get very far before falling flat on my face.

Ugh.

I was always so clumsy. And sure enough I heard Arin laugh almost immediately, and before I could even realize what was happening, I was being carried bridal style towards Arin's car.

"You cheated!"

"Yeah, but you fell." Arin started giggling to himself again.

Most of the car ride was silent but not in an awkward way, it felt nice to just have him around. As it turns out Arin only lived one street behind me, I could walk there in only a few minutes which was amazing. The second I walked through the door I was attacked with hugs and kisses, Arin's parents kept looking at me with sad sympathetic eyes... almost as if they knew what had happened.  I didn't want to explain to anyone why I actually moved here, so instead I told Arin and his parents that it was just another promotion for mom.

After catching up with his parents we decided to order a pizza and a movie just like we did when we were little. When our pizza and movie arrived Arin led me upstairs to his room where we would be watching the movie. His room was exactly what I had expected, sports posters, medals, and his own soccer photos everywhere. One thing in particular caught my eye though; he had the same picture I did in the same place I had it, on the dresser right next to my bed. I laughed when I saw the picture, the two of us in our tree house as happy as ever.

Arin ordered the movie Halloween 1 and 2. I had grown a liking for horror movies although I'll admit they actually did scare the shit out of me. It was easy acting like best friends with Arin again, we laughed and talked no problem, and when it came to the movie we cuddled- and yes I know that's something a couple would do, but he was my best friend and that's just how we were now, I guess. At one point I was pressed so hard into his chest that my nose went numb. Arin was resting his hand on my leg and would rub it whenever I got really scared. Once the movie ended Arin laughed for about ten minutes at how scared I was and when I gave him a pouty face he stopped and rubbed my leg again telling me it was okay but was suddenly alarmed and stopped moving his hand.
