The day continued at a rapid pace, all Evie wanted to do was
go back to bed. She would always feel like the outcast at school, she literally only had one friend; Tanya. Evie assumes it's most likely because their parents are friends. She has a low self esteem. Lower than the average teen. Or even the under average teen. The only reason she doesn't want to be home schooled is because of a person at her school. Jonah, to be specific. He is the only other person besides Tanya that would ever talk to her. Jonah was basically Evie's crush: he was always nice to her, he wasn't the smartest, but he would always at least seem to try to get good grades, well, seem to, to Evie.
"Hey Eve!" He had said as he approached her at the end of her day. She was just finishing up at her locker.
She waved back at him.
He smirked, "How's everything goin'?"
She tilted her head while pursing her lips and shrugged her shoulders, then she finished it with a nod.
"So good-ish?"
She nodded while doing her pursed-smile/smirk, thing.
"Cool. Wanna walk home?"
She looked confused, as if to say, Of course, I usually always walk home.
"Let me rephrase that, do you wanna walk home- together? Side by side?"
She began to subtly blush, but she nodded simply at him.
"Cool."
Once she finished, they began walking together as Tanya lead out the door before them. For a while now, Tanya has been 'shipping' them together, she's how they met. Evie was sure of it, Tanya was a good friend, at least, she hoped so.
Same for Jonah, she just hoped he wasn't acting how he was for whatever reason.Sorry these chapters have all been so short, if you read stories that have some cursing in it and like longer stories, then go check out my Romance story: Kiss at Sunset! Alright guys, have fun reading, later!!
