Beep!
No. I wasn't going to look at my phone. It was three in the morning, I shouldn't have even been awake right now! I looked at my phone on the nightstand next to my bed.
Don't grab it, Savannah. You know what it is and you don't need to lower your self-esteem any more than it already is.
I hadn't been able to fall asleep lately. Maybe I just had been spending too much time on YouTube. Beep!
Alright, that's it. I reached over and snatched my phone, not making a sound and slid underneath the sheets, my long white blonde hair floating around me.
Stella, whose hair was done up in curling irons, came out from under the sheets. She yawned. "What are you doing awake at this time? You still have three hours of-" that's when she saw my phone.
"Savannah, don't look at them." She warned, her blue eyes shimmering serious.
"I can't, Stella. It's not that easy to just not look at them." I replied and opened up the comments, both of our eyes shifting over the messages.Lunamoon918: Everyone hates you and you know it so stop acting like you don't.
Phisinmp: oh my god, why do you even post this crap? Your singing sucks!!! >:( I am sick and tired of listening to your sickening singing. You sound like a cat in a blender, not to mention the facts that you're such a liar and a slut! Just go and die in a hole already, got it?"Sav..." Stella whispered, lowering her head. I shook my head and turned off the phone. "Don't worry, Stella," I whispered. "It's fine."
"Are you okay?" Stella put a hoof on my shoulder, but I jerked away once she said that. "Stop asking me if I'm okay! I'm tired of lying!"
I got up out of bed and walked to my closet, yanking the door open. "Where are you going?" Stella called from the bed. "Out." I replied hastily and pulled on a pair of black leggings and a black wolf hoodie. Slipping into my brown combat boots and tying my hair up in a ponytail, I heard a knock on my door.
Stella flew over and hid in my hair. When I didn't answer, the knock came again, and I hesitantly opened it.
Adrien was standing out in the hall, his eyes all sleepy and still in his PJs. Once he saw what I was doing his eyes widened. "Where are you going?"
"Nowhere." I lied and shoved past him, accidentally hitting my phone on the wall and dropping it on the floor. I didn't stop to pick it up and ran down the stairs, I could hear Adrien, running after me.
"Savannah, STOP. This isn't funny!" Adrien called, and I could sense him standing right behind me when I stopped at the door.
"What is going on with you? Sneaking outside in the middle of the night? You've never done this before." Tears prickled in my eyes. He didn't understand.
"If there's something going on I wish you would tell me." Adrien frowned.
"Y-you don't understand, Adrien," I whispered.
"I'm sure I would if you would bother to tell me." Adrien grabbed my shoulders and turned me around to face him. Great, now I'm going to break one of my rules for myself! You're never supposed to let a boy see you cry!
I tried blinking back the tears, but they wouldn't fade and Adrien's understanding green eyes weren't helping. "I- I..."
Trying to finish that sentence seemed like it was impossible. There were so many things that I could say..
"I want to quit singing." I blurted before I even thought about it. Adrien's eyes grew big and his mouth opened in shock.
"What, why? You love singing." Why? Because everyone hates my singing and I'm not going to keep forcing them to hear it. I wanted to yell, but didn't.
"Because... I just don't want to." I crossed my arms over my chest and fought the sobs, forcing myself to look into his eyes.
"You have to have a reason, Sav, are you feeling okay?" I felt a big rush of anger that took all of my strength to not scream at him, NO I'M NOT OKAY, BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER TO ANYONE ELSE SO WHY BOTHER?
Instead, I said, "Nope. No reason. And I'm fine. I just wanted to go for a walk. Now if you don't mind, I want you to go away now." I pointed to the staircase, a little trace of sadness came lurking around the corner when I saw Adrien's face after I said that. He looked so sad. Depressed even.
Whatever, I told myself, pushing the thought deep down. Just go for a walk.
So I did. I walked....
And walked...
And walked...
And waited for someone to come after me. But of course, no one did.................... .................
The next day, Savannah quit choir. She QUIT CHOIR? Why? She loves singing! What was going on in her head...
As I was walking through the halls, I spotted Savannah with Marinette just as Adele was coming and asked if Savannah could sing something for her project.
I stopped, wondering what would happen. Savannah's lips tightened and for a moment I thought she was thinking about what song to sing, but then she looked at me and I could tell by the look in her eyes she had meant what she said and sadly shook her head no.
Adele sulked away. As soon as Marinette went after her, I walked over to Savannah who was starting to pick up her bag to walk off to her next class. "I didn't think you were this serious, Sav. Want to tell me what's going on now?" I asked her, tilting my head for effect.
Sav stood up and looked me straight in the eye. "People hate me. People hate my music. So what's the point in singing if no one likes it?" After that Sav tried to walk away, but I grabbed her and made her sit down.
"No, you aren't going anywhere. What do you mean, people hate you?" Savannah wouldn't look me in the eye.
All I wanted was to understand what was going on with her! But now it was getting serious.
"People hate me, what else do you want me to say?" Savannah shook her head and stood up, dodging me again and shooting down the halls...................... ..................
What are you guys thinking of it so far? Sorry if I haven't been updating lately, school, you know?
