14. Cupid's Arrow - Pt. 1

"Savannah," my head whipped up from the paper I was holding at the sound of the teachers voice.
"Huh?" I asked innocently. I had been writing a stupid love poem for Cat Noir, which I probably wouldn't even bother to send. Looking over, I saw Adrien scribbling on a sheet of paper intensely.
"Do you have your poem ready?"
"Oh, yeah." I shuffled through the papers in my blue bag. Just a couple of days ago we had all been assigned a project where you have to write a poem to someone who you admire or love greatly. Instead of doing mine about Adrien or Cat Noir, I chose Lightbulb.
What? I like lightbulbs. They always illuminate the darkness! I grabbed a torn sheet of paper from the bottom of my book bag and walked up to the class.
"Do I really have to? It's stupid." I asked the teacher, making everyone giggle. I frowned. I had been serious.
"Yes, Savannah. Now read." The teacher leaned against her desk and stared at me.
Taking a deep breath, I looked down at the page.
"Dear Lightbulb," everyone started laughing and I felt my throat tighten. That always happened when I was about to cry, but why now?
"What's Micky without Minnie,
what's Tigger without Pooh,
what's Donald without Daisy,
that's me without you and
when Elmo isn't ticklish,
and Pooh Bear hates honey,
when Tiger stops bouncing,
and Goofy isn't funny.
When Peter Pan can't fly,
and Simba never roars,
when Alice in Wonderland
can't fit through small doors.
When Dumbo's ears are small,
and happily ever after isn't true,
that's when I'll stop loving you." (Real quote from Makemestfu Tumblr)
The entire class burst into applause and when I looked up I locked eyes with Adrien who had stopped writing to listen to my stupid poem.
I smiled and he smiled back.
"Thank you, Savannah. You get an A+." I took the hint and walked back to my seat as the teacher scribbled something on her notes. Adrien looked at me and I caught a glimpse of his paper. It looked like a love poem.
"Who's this for?" I asked snatching it playfully. Adrien reached for it. "It's nothing, Sav. It's for no one,"
"Are you so sure?" I asked smirking and read it quietly enough that just the two of us could hear.
     "Your crystal white hair
     and big blue moon eyes,
I wonder who you are inside
     underneath your grim disguise.
Together our love could be so true,
     will you be my Valentine?"
Adrien looked at me expectantly for some reason and I set the paper back down. It was for Chloe.
     "It's for Chloe isn't it?"

............... .................

"What, Sav, no, it's for-" I needed to explain this to her! The poem was about Savannah! But of course, just as I was about to explain the bell rang and I watched as Savannah stood up with tears in her eyes and grabbed her bag and walked out the door.
"SAV! Wait!" I cried and dashed out the door after her after grabbing my things.
I didn't hear Marinette whisper to Alya, "Geez, he really needs some help."
"Let's stay out of it this time, Marinette." Alya whispered back. "This is between the two of them."

.............. ...............

"Thank you, thanks." Adrien and I repeated the same line over and over again as crowds of people lined up in front of us standing in front of the school holding Valentines for us.
A long line of girls in front of Adrien, and every single guy in school in mine, plus some other people who I've never seen in my life...
A giant poster of me at one of my concerts and Adrien at one of his photo shoots were plastered on a billboard sign behind us, a shopping cart in front of us. Mr. Damocles made us do this every Valentines Day because everyone who wanted to give us Valentines never got the chance to since we were so busy and the mail kept getting stuck or lost. So they gave it to us now... Only by hand. Which took hours.
I watched as Adrien smiled at every girl that walked up and dropped their valentine into the basket with such care it made me feel a little bit jealous. I said only a little.
Just as I was putting another valentine into the basket I looked up to lock eyes with my ex-boyfriend.
"Jackson," I smiled through gritted teeth. Jackson Bruno had been my boyfriend last year, but I cut things off when I fell in love with Cat Noir, that and he was way clingy.
Adrien scowled at him and I felt a warmth in my heart when he stepped a little bit closer to me. Jackson, the black haired, brown eyed guy I had once fell in love with, put his hands up.
"Woah, woah, there Tomcat. I don't mean any harm to your precious little girlfriend. I was just stopping by to check up on her." I was about to correct him about the girlfriend thing, but didn't bother.
"I'm fine, Jackson. Now if that's all, I would like it if you would just go away now." I scowled at him and linked arms with Adrien who happily linked back. Jackson rolled his eyes and stepped back.
"Alright, fine, Savvy. I see you've moved on. See you around." He turned and jogged away and I sighed grateful he was gone. That boy could be so annoying.
Adrien wrapped his arm around my waist and grabbed another valentine from a girl, tossing it into the cart. "So does this mean we're a couple now?" He asked me, smirking to himself. I did the same.
      "Sure. Whatever you say, Adriekins."

       Hey!
I have a quick question, and an announcement.
Question: would you guys like it if I drew a picture of Snowdrop and Savannah so that you get a better image of what she looks like?
Announcement: after Cupid's Arrow, I'm posting a Trivia on Savannah and Adrien! It just will be about stuff that they're keeping from each other and stuff, their feelings, ect.
And also, I was thinking about doing a Cat Noir X Reader and a Dare book with Cat Noir, Ladybug, Marinette, and Adrien. Any suggestions? It will be my first time doing those.
     Thanks guys!
