Savannah and I were walking back home, our limo hadn't been able to pick us up, when Sav started groaning.
"What's wrong?" I asked her, as she kind of collapsed against a lamp post. She covered her mouth, and I looked at her eyes which looked really tired.
"I think I'm gonna be sick..." She mumbled out.
"Oh no," I said aloud. Savannah hadn't gotten sick all month and she had a very easy immune system. Whenever she didn't get sick for a while, you had to be sure she was going to any minute.
"Can you walk?" I asked, stepping closer and lifting her bag off her shoulders and putting it on mine. Savannah closed her eyes and took deep breaths.
"I feel like I'm going to pass out, Adrien."
"Got it." I said and before she could even do anything, I picked her up princess-style and ran us all the way home which was just a couple more blocks ahead.
We burst through the door and I set Savannah down, who didn't climb up the stairs, just sat hugging the bottom railing. I went to go get the trash can and tried to take as little time as possible, I didn't want to leave her alone.
When I got back, I put the bucket under her mouth and she held onto it with shaky hands. She then looked up at me. "What?" I asked and she twirled her finger around meaning she wanted me to turn around.
I smiled and laughed to myself and did what I was told.
After about five minutes, I had Savannah in her bed and I was standing next to her end when my phone rang.
"Who is it?" Savannah asked me. "Chloe." I answered and gasped at the image she sent me. I turned to show it to Savannah. She gasped and covered her mouth.
The image was of Kim, but it wasn't a good picture.
"I can't believe she would do that." I snapped. Savannah rolled her eyes.
"She's your girlfriend."
"No, you're my girlfriend." I answered her, hoping she would take it as a joke. She looked me straight in the eye.
"Chloe or me?"
"You." I answered truthfully, and I saw a hint of a smile but it disappeared almost as quickly as it appeared.
"Adrien, you're dating Chloe. Everyone knows that. You can't have two girlfriends."
"I'll break up with her."
"Oh yeah? When?" I hated how Savannah was reacting, but for some reason I fought back. She was the one I was in love with, but she thought it was Chloe.
"Tomorrow."
"Can't wait to see that happen."
"It will!"
"Adrien," she climbed out of her bed, her eyes proving she needed more proof. "I don't know if I like you back, but I do know that if you want me as a girlfriend, you have to dump Chloe. You can't have it both ways."
"But-"
"Adrien." Savannah sighed as she walked out into the hallway. "Where are you going?" I called after her.
"I'm going for a walk."
"I'll come with you!" I ran out after her.
"No Adrien."
"Look, I really like you okay? I'm in love with you, Savannah." That made her stop in her tracks. "And I really want to be your boyfriend. And I will break up with Chloe if that's what you want, but-"
"Adrien," Savannah's voice was barely above a whisper as she came back up the stairs to me. "I'll believe it when I see it, but like I said. I think I'm in love with someone else, but I also love you. You're like a best friend to me. So please don't be mad at me when I say that I need time for this. I don't know if I want to be a couple with you." Her words stung me and I turned around, frustration and sadness getting the best of me.
"Whatever, Savannah.""Adrien, please don't be mad." I could sense Savannah reaching for me but I yanked away.
"Adrien-"
"I can't take being just friends with you Savannah!" I turned around and yelled at her, her eyes turning from tired to sad. "Sitting with you in my room, walking with you everywhere I go, flirting with you all the time! And you don't feel the same way! You just want to be friends? I'm too much in love with you to handle not being your boyfriend!"
Tears filled her eyes. "So, we're not best friends anymore?"
"I don't want to be." Anger spoke for me.
"Adrien, please, don't do this-" Savannah started crying. I felt a pang of sadness, I'd never seen her cry. I never wanted to be the reason she was crying.
"I can't-"
"Please, Adrien! Don't do this to me!" But I ignored her, and she ran outside, her sobs echoing in the hallways.
I plopped down on my bed and sighed. I felt terrible for what I did, but at least she knew the truth about the way I felt now........... .........
My brain was so confused. I loved Adrien, but I loved Cat Noir.
Remember that one quote about if you truly loved the first one, you wouldn't have fallen for the second. I was sobbing when Stella came out, being her funny self when she saw me.
"Savannah, what's wrong?" She asked.
"AdriensaidhecouldnthandlebeingfriendswithmebecausehesinlovewithmerightafteriwastellinghimthatifhewantedtobemyboyfriendhehadtobreakupwithChloefirst. B-butAdrienismybestfriend, IcantellhimanythingandIdontknowifIlikehimbackbecauseIdolovehim, butIalsoloveCatNoir." I sobbed out an explanation.
"What are you going to do, Sav?" Stella asked, wiping a tear of my face with her blue hoof.
"I don't know. I love them both so much."
"Too bad you don't know their the exact same person." Stella muttered low enough that I wouldn't hear it.
"What?" I asked her. I hadn't heard what she said.
"Nothing. Look, I would become Snowdrop today, and ask Cat Noir if he has feelings for you. If he does, and you don't have feelings for Adrien, then you have your answer." I nodded.
"Wait, but wouldn't it be kind of stupid to just transform into Snowdrop for no reason? Cat Noir probably isn't around unless there's crime." I said with a weary eyebrow raise.
Just as I said that, an arrow shot out of the air and hit a man holding hands with a woman. "GET OF ME!" He shouted as his lips turned black.
I looked up to see a dark Cupid flying in the air.
Stella looked at me with an I-told-you-so look.
I groaned and ran around into a dark alley.
Holding my crystal pendant in front of me, I shouted, "Stella: SNOW ON!" And, as usual, Stella flew into the ice crystal, turning it electric blue with energy as little ice specks flew off creating my blue with white snowflakes suit that covered my torso, arms, legs, hands, and waist. My electric blue Go-Go boots appeared with just a high jump and my electric blue mask appeared with a flick of the finger.
Once I was fully transformed, I ran out over the city and jumped above the roofs, wondering which boy was destined to be my soul mate.
And if neither of them were the right one, well, then I'd be soul mate less.
