Alby came up to me after we had all finished, "Ready for you first job trial, greenie?" He asked in a voice of authority.
"Yeah, I guess. What job am I doing?"
"Today, you'll be working in the gardens as a track-hoe." Alby pointed to the fields and various vines on the south side of the glade.

I nodded and walked over to the boys that were already working. A boy with a  belt full of gardening tools made his way to me, rubbing his hands together. "Mornin' greenie! Name's Zart and I'm the keeper of the track-hoes. You'll be paired with me for the whole day, with small breaks, of course." He held his hand out for me to shake.
I shook his hand with a small smile. "I'm (y/n) and I think I'll like this job, I like playing around with dirt!" I laughed a little.
"That's great," he said, "we need more track-hoes in this shuck place."

The day was kind of bland. I dug and planted seeds, collected plants that were ready for harvest and got very hot and sweaty. By the time the sun had started to set, I was sitting against a tree, fast asleep.
I woke up to mumbling and someone lightly shaking my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see Alby and Newt. "Come on, greenie, it's time for food, then you can go back to sleep if you want." Said Newt.
I rubbed my eyes and nodded, stretching and letting out a held in yawn. "Here," Alby said, offering me a hand up.

I sat at the dinner table, eyeing the broth that the cooks had made for the boys, and me. I wasn't too hungry, but I had barely anything to eat today. Newt nudged me. "You aren't gonna eat anything?" He asked.
"Not really hungry." I shrugged.
"Are you okay?"
"Yea I'm just really tired," I answered.
