"Stella? Stella? Come on Stel, where'd you go? Stella!"

I hear my brother calling my name as I stare up at him through the ice. I try pounding, hitting and even kicking the ice, but get no response.

He has no idea where I am.

I thought I might die under hear. I have no air to breathe. I try kicking the ice again and slowly start to drift away. Literally, I'm sinking and my big brother has no idea.

Oh wait. You guys have no idea what's going on. Im sorry let me catch you up real quick.

My brother, Alec and I, decided to go for a walk in the woods. During the winter storm we had. Brilliant idea right? Try telling that to Alec. We were walking through the woods when we saw a pound frozen over with ice. Alec triple dog dared me to go on it but me being my courageous self at the age of 7, didn't back down.

I started to walk out slowly on the pound when Alec, being the 10 year old annoying big brother, decided to jump on the ice after me.

I turned around to yell at him but he was already gone. I started to turn back around to finish crossing the lake but that's when I heard it.

The ice had started to crack.

I stood as still as possible as I watched the ice break apart in front of me. It was as if something was forcing it towards me! I slowly started to back up not bothering to turn around.

   That's when I fell.

That's also where you guys came in. So now that you're all caught up, I'll finish what happened to me.

As I watch my brother frantically search for me I try one more time to send some sort of signal as to where I was. I kicked the ice and saw his head turned around and look down.

His face had a mixture of emotions. I saw happiness, guilt and fear. He dove in after me and brought me back to the shore. At least, that's what I think happened. I'm not to sure because at that part I had gone unconscious and didn't wake up until we were back home.

My mother and father were out of the house trying to find money for us to survive off of, so they had no idea what happened to me. I made Alec promise not to tell anyone because then I would get made fun of.

"I promise Stel I won't tell anyone. Are you alright?"

He looked at me expecting some sort of answer. Imagine how his face looked when I reacted the way I did.

"Of course I'm not alright! It's all your fault. If you didn't dare to go out on that stupid lake then I wouldn't have almost died!" I yell it ten times louder than he thought I ever could.

"Me! You didn't have to go out on the lake! It's because of you and your stupid courage and need to be right all the time that got you stuck under that ice! If I wasn't there at all you would be dead!" His face got red. Redder than I've ever seen in my life.

I realized he was right for once in my life. I turned around and went to bed instead of sending him a reply ten times worse than he just have to me.

After a few minutes I heard him get up and leave me alone in my room. That night I didn't sleep, I didn't even close my eyes.
