Chapter 36 My Prerogative

Priya's POV

"Priya!" he hummed while hugging me from behind. I crooned back with a smile on my face. "You look so gorgeous with my shirt on." He said kissing my neck from behind. I giggled with his touch.

"Now! Come and have breakfast." I said hitting his hand traveling inside my shirt. "Ouch!" he retrieved his hand back from the shirt. I placed idlies* into his plate while he was staring at me with a smile on his face.

"What are you staring at?" I asked stuffing my mouth with idly.

"Just, nothing." He paused while dragging his chair nearer to me. "you know what something is bugging me from the last month."

"About?" I asked helping myself with a cup of coffee. He was silent for a few minutes.

"Barely there's two months of college left for you. So----umm" he was stealing glances at me. "why don't we think about starting a family, I mean a baby?" he asked very hesitantly observing my facial reactions which are barely under my control.

The conversation turned completely awkward. What is going on in his mind? I have goals in my life. If we have a baby, everything will come to a stop. I'm just 22 and --- "what do you think?" he interrupted my line of thoughts.

"actually---it's just that, we are very young and inexperienced. Shall we wait for 2-3 years max? And moreover, presently I'm tensed regarding the project and job." I said with a pleading tone.

His expression turned to a stoned one. "yeah! You are right. I was just thinking of myself." He got up from his chair leaving his breakfast unfinished. "okay then I need to go to work" he said leaving me awestruck. Did I say anything wrong? I just expressed my perspective.

Abhay's POV

Maybe I shouldn't have brought that matter. My love towards her made me bring a sensitive topic. Oh! Priya I am sorry. Wiggling my pen with my fore-finger and thumb I was thinking how to make up for the morning. Just then my cabin's door opened with the entry of the least expected person.

"Hey Abhay?" she said spreading her arms wide.

"Look who it is? With the same attitude and arrogance. Welcome."

What is she doing here? Am I hallucinating now? What the fuck is this? Am I seeing things now? My expression hardened with her bright smile. I was at loss of words.

"Oh! Am so sorry. Please excuse me." I said while embracing her in a friendly hug.

"Oh, well. Thanks." She said taking a seat in front of me with her right leg upon her left. How rude of me?

"What I owe this pleasant surprise, beautiful lady?" I said leaning onto the desk facing her. she hasn't changed a bit. How can she stay so beautiful?

"stop kidding Abhay." She hit me playfully on my arm. "Actually there is a surprise for you."

"Yeah! go on." I said while folding my hands on my chest.

She chuckled a bit before rising from the chair coming face to face. "Have a good day co-employee." Saying it she left me startled. What?

I might have heard it wrong. "Wait," I said while extending my arm in order to stop her. "Shenaya! Wait. What do you mean by that?"

"C'mon dumbo! I thought you were intelligent than this." She said while kissing me on my cheek. Everything is flashing clear in front of my eyes.

"But when?"I asked still my expression startled.

"From today!" she said with a heart full smile on her face and left my cabin.
