Hello Whovians!
First, I'd like to apologize for late update - procastinating is my speciality since day one and is one of my bad habits.
Anyway, a lighthearted episode for you is here, since I've got a feeling there was enough of angst and stuff like that in this story already.
Enjoy!

Just as Willow disappeared, I heard main Star Trek theme fill the room.
I grabbed my phone that was in my pocket and answered the call. "Yes?"
"Good morning sweetie."
"Oh, hey mom!"
"I couldn't reach you ... I don't know why's that. Hoped you could tell me how to fix the sound on TV ..."
"It's been taken care of," I answered, "had the same problem at home."
"And by the way, I hoped you'd come over with Emily and your friends since it was your birthday two days ago."
"Sure. When?"
"About 7 p.m.?"
"Okay, that's cool. See you mom!"
"See you, sweetie."
She hung up and I put my phone to the coffee table. William returned shortly after the call. His surprised question confused me. "Were you fighting?"
"Er ..." I shook my head to clear my mind, "yeah, I was."
"Wow," he grinned, "I thought you thought fistfights are uncivilized."
"They are, but I don't have a lightsaber."
TARDIS materialized just as I finished my sentence. Doctor, Patricia and Emily came out, talking about the sudden return of sounds.
When my little sister noticed me, I wasn't sure if she was going to hug me or hit me, and when she did the later and asked me what I was thinking, I didn't even bother to answer and mumbled: "Emily, you're not my mother."
"Well, you should certainly reduce the amount of scars obtained in a year."
"Eh," I shrugged it off, "anyway, mom invited us for a cake, what do you say?"

As we entered I could almost touch the festive feeling in the house. Mum was talking with somebody in the kitchen - probably some dad's friend or co-worker, and dad just opened the door and let us in.
First he wished me a happy birthday and then led us to the kitchen.
When I noticed the man mother talked with, I stopped in my tracks and my jaw dropped.
The old rich asshole neighbour was sitting there, sipping tea.
"Hello?" I finally said, slowly and suspiciously.
"Kids, you probably haven't introduced yourselves to our neighbour yet officially."
"As if we wanted unofficially," Emily snorted just loudly enough everyone could hear her and I think all of us agreed. "If Loki was here ..."
"This is Alfred Roberts," mom said, as if she didn't hear Emily say anything, "Alfred those are my daughters Alya and Emily, Alya's best friends Patricia and John and her boyfriend William."
"It's fiancé," I corrected her and I just wanted to correct her that Doctor's name wasn't John Smith as she thought, when she interrupted me.
"What?"
"It's fiancé, not boyfriend."
It took my parents and the neighbour I still didn't like a few moments to finally understand what I just said, mom then forced me to show her the ring and after sighting a 'you should get diamonds, not this iron thing,' and me answering with 'It's good for punching ghosts in the face' we finally sat down at dinner.
Alfred, as I now knew was neighbour's name, went home soon.
Dad opened a few bottles of wine and he and the Doctor drank most of it, which made me wonder how they'll wake up the next day.
I drank just enough to find writing a story titled 'a very hungover time lord' funny.
At the end, we decided to spend the night in my parents' house, since nobody was in state for driving a complicated time-space ship.

As I said, lighthearted and short.
