Hello, Whovians!
Wow, Episode 30, already :) That's amazing! There is only so little left of my original idea for the story ... luckily, there's a sequel being written at the moment.
I hope you enjoy this episode!

"What do you think Doctor had in mind when saying to wear fancy clothes that resemble those from the 20's?" I asked William.
He was standing next to me in front of the mirror, tying up his bow-tie.
"I have no idea," he answered.
"You guys probably set this up, I know that face of yours," I smiled. "Do you think this necklace is too much?"
"Alya ..."
I sent him an angry glare.
"Fine," he sighted, "Aishling, you never wear make-up and you ask if necklace, such a normal thing to wear, is too much?"
"I don't know ... I think I'll put it on. What do you think kids are doing?"
"Susan probably has napping time ..."
"It was a smart decision to send her to kindergarten. What about James?"
"He's a tight sleeper."
"So he's probably sleeping too."
We ended the conversation. I walked out of the bathroom, wondering what he and the Doctor got planned for this birthday. Last year, there wasn't much, since at the time all of us were busy with my and William's wedding. I did get a great last day with Emily on the other hand and a small tear escaped my eyes as I started thinking of what could've been if my sister didn't die.
I'd be sister of queen of Asgard.
Loki, a goddamn Norse god, would be my brother-in-law.
She'd be the happiest person I've ever known.
It made me smile, knowing that she died with her mind on that exact thing. If nothing else, she achieved what most fangirls were just dreaming about.
My thoughts were interrupted by sound of TARDIS materializing in the living room.
Doctor walked out, accompanied by River.
"Hey," I greeted them, "Where are we going?"
"This will be amazing, I can say," Doctor said, "but I don't want to spoil the surprise for you!"
"You and William planned this together, right?"
"That's also not a thing I'm allowed to say."
"I knew it."
William walked out of the bathroom. "Is my tie straight enough?"
"Straightest thing since my OTP."
"Which one?"
"Not the gay one, obviously."
"Good. I was worried 'bout that. So, are we going or what?"
"Agree."
We walked to the TARDIS and Doctor started the time machine. When we landed and walked out I noticed we're on a street.
"So?"
Doctor and William exchanged looks and grinned.
"Oi, stop that, you big time travelling children. It's frustrating!"
"Follow me," Doctor smiled.
We entered a beautiful building and after a few wide corridors, found ourselves in a classic ballroom.
"Where's the catch?"
"No catch," William answered, "just a very classic classy dance for very classy people."
I smiled. This was a romantic move, I can give him that. Song that was playing just ended and then another, calmer one started playing.
"May I have that dance?" he then smiled.
"Of course, good gentleman," I answered. He pulled me to the dancefloor.
"Waltz?"
He nodded.
"Viennese?"
"English."
We followed the rhythm and I forgot about the time.
And then the song stopped somewhere in the middle.
We stepped away from each other and I looked around.
Four daleks entered, reminding me of guard of honour. They were followed by my biggest fear.
He turned to other people. "Get out," he demanded calmly. "After I leave, you can return."
They ran out, screaming like they were being threatened for their lives. It was the first time he didn't even indirectly mention killing.
"Hello, t- Alya Collins."
I looked at him with confusion. I was so used to being greeted with 'hello time lord' from him, that now I was left speechless.
"Hello," I finally answered.
"I'd like to talk."
Something in his movement was different. He was less confident, more nervous, the only thing remaining of what made him terrifying were the daleks.
He walked closer, looking at the ground to avoid eye contact.
"Fine," I nodded.
After he walked close enough, he reached out with his hand, waiting for handshake.
I just wanted to do the same, when I heard a shot fire.
He'd fall to the ground, if I didn't catch him mid-fall.
I looked at Doctor and River, who were standing next to us: "Find help!" I said. I only glanced past an angry looking man with black moustache and no hair with a shotgun in his hands, barely even thinking about why he shot Nameless.
I looked at man's young face. "You're thirty, right?" I asked.
He slowly nodded. "Listen, Alya," he muttered, blood spilling from his mouth. He was hard to watch. No one deserves death like this, not even my arch enemy.
"I'm listening."
"The daleks will explode after I'm gone," he struggled for every breath and every word, "A metal box will stay from one of them. Take it. There are two books inside. Keep the older one ..." he coughed before continuing, "give the other one to James, if ... the same as with Susan's box ..."
I nodded.
"Alya Collins ... I am –"
And then he closed his eyes and the man I feared so much was gone.
Daleks exploded as he said and the only thing left of them was the box.
I laid him on the floor and we walked to the TARDIS.
At home, I went straight to shower. His blood was still on my clothes and hands and I had to wash it down.
He wanted to say something. 'I am ...' but what was he? 'Sorry' was my guess, but I couldn't know for sure.
