Chapter 6

The next day Dally was the first one up. He was watching tv and reading the note Johnny wrote us before he died. He was about to cry. He saw me walking in and tried to not to cry.

"What ya reading Dally?" I asked "Nothing just rereading the letter that Johnny wrote you before he... you know." He said "Yeah." I responded sadly so Dally did not have to finish the sentence. There was a break of silents in the air then all of the sudden Sodapop rushed in "Morning everyone." Soda said very happily.

"Well someone seems happy this morning." I said "Yep I have a date with Roxie today." He replied while getting some chocolate cake and chocolate milk. Then Darry got up.

"Morning." Darry said sleepily
"Morning sleeping beauty." Soda said in a playful way. Darry just smiled a sleepy smile and went on.Steve and Two-Bit walked in Soda was just getting finishing getting ready for work. Darry was getting some cake when they came in.

"Hey Sodapop you ready to go yet or what?" Steve yelled "Yeah yeah I'm almost ready." Soda nagged. Me, Dally, & Two-bit are going to town today. Darry was about to go to work "See y'all later." He said. We all gave him a thumbs up. After Soda and Steve left me, Dally, & Two-bit left. "Who is that?" Dally asked "Who?" I replied

"That girl right there." He pointed out a girl that looked like she is a greaser. "I don't know." I said back we looked at Two-bit because two-bit usually knows stuff like that. "What?" Two-bit asked "Do you know that girl?" Dally asked "No,no I don't."

Then Dally went up there and turned the girl around by her shoulder. "Hey, what's that man?" The girl asked "What's your name?" Dally replied "I am Blaze." She said "And what's yours?" Blaze finished "I am Dallas Winston, but people call me Dally." Dally said

"Nice hey I think I have heard your name before." Blaze said "Yeah I have been in trouble with the fuzz a lot of times." Dally bragged "Nice " Blaze said impressed. Later on we walked back home and when me, Two-bit,& Dally got back we didn't realize that Roxie was already there.

Two-bit left then Sodapop and Roxie left. "Hey,Dally I have to show you something." I said smirking because I was thinking of what Johnny said that made me kind of sad to. "Why?" He asked "Just trust me Johnny wanted me to show you." I said

He had a serious look on his face. "Really are you sure." Dally said seriously "Yeah I am sure but we have to hurry." I said "Alright." Dally said "Follow me to the roof." I said "It's the best view." Dally followed me "You ready?" I asked with my hands covering his eyes "Yep." He said "3...2...1 here you go." I said uncovering his eyes "A sunset Johnny told me in the letter to show you a sunset.

"It sure is pretty." He said in amazement "I love to watch sunsets." I told him "I see why it's pretty." Dally said his face looked so happy like all of the coldness was gone out of him. After we got finished watching the sunset we went back in we found some Chocolate cake still left so we have got some and watch TV. Then all of the sudden Blaze came running in. "Dally can I talk to you?" She asked in a panicked voice "Sure."Dally said
