Ugh. Finally. The last day of the dreadful 7th grade.

I just woke up. Still laying in bed, I throw my right arm over the rest of my body to stop my alarm that is sitting on my night stand from going off. That stupid thing is so annoying.

After awhile I finally decide to get out of bed. I grab my favorite pair of denim jeans, a orange and white tie-dye t-shirt from 2012, a thick black headband, and my zig-zag back and white vans. I know. My fashion choice is the bomb. But I could care less. I mean it's almost summer for goodness sake!!

I hurry to change and throw some makeup on, then rush out the door to catch the bus. And off to school I go.

--------------------

The bus is so annoying.

"Hey sit down in back!" The annoyed bus driver yells at one of the sixth graders in the back of the bus.

Finally my stop.

I get off with a few of my neighbors, Jenny, Nick, Ty, and Bud.

"Hey see you guys around!" I yell at them as I keep walking down the street to my house.

As I walk in the house, the windows are open, and my smiling mother is cutting up fruit for when my friends come over; she's so nice.

--------------------

*BING*

Oh geeze. My phone. Again.

Weird. This time it's Instagram.

"A direct message from Casey?" I say aloud, even though I'm alone.

"Hey guys! I'm having a party soon. Saturday August 23rd to Sunday the 24th. It's for my birthday!! Bring gifts of you would like. Girls: bring a pillow, sleeping bag, and over night clothes! Let me know ASAP if you can come!" Says the message from Casey.

I think I might go. I mean me and Casey have gotten pretty close lately. It will be nice to meet her other friends.

-------------------

Wow it's been over 2 weeks, I should probably reply to Casey's direct message and tell her that I can go.

*BING*

"A follow request?" I say yet again to myself. "Lily Oldenberg?" I say aloud.

I think that's one of the girls that Casey invited. I recognize the name for sure.

*accepts request*

Weird.

*BING* My phone lights up.

Huh? Lily Oldenberg added me on snapchat. This is weird.

*accepts friend*

*BING*

Message from Lily reads: "Hey, I'm lily. I'd really like to become friends. I'm one of Casey's friends from Riversdale."

Ugh. Riversdale. Still gives me goosebumps.
Should I reply? This is weird. Okay.

Here we go. "Hey Lily! I saw you followed me on Instagram. And sure I would love to become friends!"

"Does that sound too fake?" I say to myself. "I don't know. " I reply to myself as if I'm having a conversation with someone else.

-------------------

2 weeks later.

*BING* My phone lights up.

Snapchat from: Lily Oldenberg.

This is too weird.

Message reads: "Hey, are you going to the Rock County 4H fair?"

My reply: "Yes! Me and Taylor are going to a concert on Thursday!"

Lily's reply: "Oh awesome! I'll be there on Thursday too!! Me and a few other girls from my school will be there! See you there! And I cannot wait to meet you in person!"

I don't reply. Feeling overwhelmed.
