Marie, a friend of mine from my own school both got invited to Casey's party, along with Taylor and another friend Kyra.
-------------------
Marie, Kyra and I finally arrive at Casey's party.
"This place is in the middle of nowhere!" My mom says seeming very interested.
"Okay, well I'll text you the time we need to be picked up tomorrow." I inform my mother as I hop out of the car.
"Okay sweetie. Have fun and make new friends!" She says as I slam the car door shut.
--------------------
We all have gotten settled in now. And by all, I mean Marie, Kyra and I.
None of us know anyone that well besides Casey and Taylor.
As I stand in Casey's bedroom along with Casey, Marie, Kyra, Maggie, and a few other girls, we have started to address the fact at that Marie has started to talk to one of the boys from Riversdale.
I walk like an absolute badass straight into Casey's little brother's room where a few of the guys are that were invited.
"Alright. Which one of you is Jett?!" I say proudly without a crack in my voice.
I suddenly have a crowd of girls behind me as if they are trying to back me up on this question, while Marie is still in Casey's room acting as if this isn't happening.
"Hahaha." The group of immature boys laughs.
"This one right here!" Eric says.
"Okay, well I'm Renesmee, most people call me Ren." I say with dignity present in my voice.
"Why are you looking for me?" The shy Jett says.
"Well, I'm One of Marie's close friends, and I have to see if you are good enough for her." I say, answering his question.
"Well this is awkward." An unknown voice from behind me states.
"I make everything awkward." I say. "Get used to it."
-------------------
Hours later.
We all have changed into our bathing suits and head out to the patio where Casey's pool lays.
"I'm not big on the whole swimming thing." I admit to Michelle, Holly and Riley, the nearest girls around me.
"Seriously?" A shy voice from behind me asks.
I slightly turn around timidly.
"Oh, it's just you." I sigh and turn back around.
"Why aren't you big on swimming?" Jett asks.
I don't want to answer knowing that if I even have a small conversation with Jett that Marie will get upset.
"I-" I pause. "Why does this so suddenly matter to you?" I ask with sass in my voice.
"I was just wondering." He says chuckling.
"Okay, um. Well I- I just can't swim, that's all." I admit with displeasure.
"YOU CAN'T SWIM?!" About five different voices behind me screech.
"Correct." I say as I sigh.
I see out of the corner of my eye, one of the boys from earlier, friends with Jett, looking at me with a mischievous look on his face.
"Oh, no." I mutter under my breath.
After about a half hour of sitting by the poolside and chatting with some of my new friends, I decide to get up to go inside to change.
"Haha not so fast!" The same boy from before that was staring at me, Eric, pulls me aside.
Jett takes my towel from me.
"What do you think you're doing?" I ask him.
"Oh nothing." He says back.
"Okay I'm gonna head inside now." I say trying to walk away.
Suddenly, it's like time has froze. I feel a few tight grips of other people's hands on my arms.
I feel someone else by my legs."What? What are you guys doing?!" I yell at the four boys that are lifting me up and heading towards the pool.
That got everyone's attention.
Time freezes.
I'm in the water.
I cannot swim.
I hate this.
"Guys she can't swim!!" Casey, Marie, and Taylor yell.
Jett jumps into the water to save me.
-------------------
"Jett! Wait up!!" I yell towards my new friend and so called savior.
"Yeah?" He questions looking back.
"Give me a piggy back ride!" I say as I jump onto his back.
"Okay then." He says, now holding my legs around his waist.
A group of us head into the woods to play spin the bottle.
Nothing happens.
Spin after spin.
Everyone refuses.
"Eric's turn to spin." Says Casey.
The bottle spinning, everyone waiting.
"Oh god." Says Eric with fright.
"It landed on Casey!!" Yells Holly.
They both lean in across the circle of people from one another. With eyes closed they kiss.
