Annabelle was sitting behind her desk when Cat came into her office.

"What are you doing here?" Annabelle raised her eyebrows. "I don't got time for your games."

"Where's your little tramp?" Cat raised her eyebrows.

"She's not a tramp." Annabelle stood up and glared at Cat. "You can just leave now before I escort you out."

"Like I am scared of you. Why do you like her so much?" Cat asked.

"Why does it matter to you?" Annabelle questioned back.

"Because, she's not who she says she is." Cat said.

"I know who she is." Annabelle said without hesitation. She knew that Cat had to be referring to the fact that Simone was a cop.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." Cat hissed.

Annabelle grabbed Cat and shoved her out. "Get the fuck out of my club!"

Meanwhile Simone was making her way in when she ran into Cat. "You best watch your back." Cat warned.

Annabelle came out and greeted Simone. "Hey." She kissed her hand.

Simone felt her heart thump. "I ran into Cat." Simone said softly.

"Did she say something to you?" Annabelle raised her eyebrows. "Come with me into my office."

Annabelle turned and Simone followed. Shutting the door Simone looked at Annabelle who's eyes shifted from the soft stare to something more intense.

"She told me to watch my back." Simone said softly.

Annabelle frowned. "I will not let anything happen to you."

"I'm not scared of her." Simone said.

"I know but she is crazy and will try something. I won't let her hurt you in anyway." Annabelle said.

"I know you won't." Simone smiled.

Annabelle grabbed Simone's hand. "I would like to take you home again tonight. I would also like to stay just to make sure that your alright. I don't think Cat will do anything if I'm there."

"I would like that." Simone said.

Annabelle placed a kiss on Simone's hand. Simone felt her whole body blush. Simone wondered when Annabelle was going to actually kiss her. She was wanting it and she was wanting it bad. Annabelle had stirred within her emotions she never thought existed since Amanda. Simone looked deep into Annabelle's eyes.

"Is something wrong?" Annabelle asked.

"No." Simone smiled.

"Good." Annabelle said.

Annabelle looked at Simone. She knew she was a cop when she first walked into the place. Annabelle ran her license plate number off her car and did some facial recognition software. It didn't bother Annabelle one bit. For the way Simone acted towards her she knew that Simone felt a certain way. Annabelle knew she couldn't give in. Even though she wanted to. She had to get to know Simone more.

There was a knock at the door. "Come in." Annabelle said.

Colins walked in. "Sorry to interrupt but a car just exploded in the parking lot."

"Shit." Annabelle said as she went out and Simone followed.

Simone looked at the flames and realized it was her car. "That's my car." Simone whispered.

"Colins you should call the police and report this." Annabelle ordered. Annabelle then grabbed Simone's hand they walked back inside. "Look I don't do well with the police so I'm going to get out of here. You want to come with?"

"Why don't you do well with the police?"Simone asked.

"Because they usually blame me." Annabelle said. "No matter what it is."

"I could always talk to them for you. You were with me." Simone said.

"I know. It just since I was a kid I have had some what of a record. Then I meant Colins and she kept me on the right path." Annabelle said.

"So why don't they believe you?" Simone questioned.

"Because of who my mother is." Annabelle said.

It dawn on Simone. Annabelle's mother was Senator Tillman. Senator Tillman the same woman who almost cost Simone her job last year over a scandal in her office. The same scandal that lead back to Senator Tillman herself.

Annabelle snuck out the back door as Simone followed. Getting on the motorcycle they headed to Simone's house. Once there Annabelle checked the house to make sure no one was in there. Simone followed Annabelle inside.

"You really don't need to be doing that." Simone said.

"I know. I just want to make sure that your safe that's all." Annabelle said.

"That's real sweet of you." Simone said.

"Can I cook you some dinner?" Annabelle asked.

"I would like that." Simone said. "I got to make a phone call first."

Simone walked into the other room and picked up the phone. She called Immaculata.

"Hey. I can't stop in my car kind of exploded."Simone said.

"Are you alright?"Immaculata asked.

"Yes. Before you ask she was with me the whole time it happened." Simone said.

"I still don't trust her." Immaculata stated.

"Well I do." Simone frowned.

"Are you going to do the job or do I need to find someone else?" Immaculata asked.

"I'm doing the job and she's innocent." Simone said.

"Innocent? Do you not know what she did as a child?" Immaculata questioned.

"No because it's not who she is now." Simone said.

"Why are you defending her?" Immaculata asked.

"I'm not. I'm getting to know her. It's how you solve a case." Simone said.

Then Simone heard the faint click. Frowning she knew that being on Immaculata's bad side wasn't a good idea. She just couldn't help herself the way Immaculata was talking about Annabelle.

Annabelle walked out into the living room. "Is everything alright?" Annabelle asked.

"Yeah. Just family trouble." Simone said.

"How do you like your steak?" Annabelle asked.

"Medium rare." Simone said.

Annabelle went back into the kitchen. Simone followed Annabelle back into the kitchen. Sitting down she watched as Annabelle cooked. Annabelle looked as beautiful as ever. Simone bit her lip. All the thoughts were racing through her head made her blush. She began to day dream.
