Jenna's POV-
I went to dinner with Jess and Sarah, and we had a nice time. But then Sarah said she had to leave, and I didn't believe one word she said.
I remembered to kick her butt for that later. "So how are you liking Warped Tour this year?" she asked.
"I like it." I said. Not as much as I like you, I wanted to say. But I didn't. "Yourself?"
"I like it. But I just want to get away sometimes, you know?"
"We are away." I laughed.
"Yeah, but only two minutes." she laughed.
"Well, where would you go if you did get away?"
"I wouldn't want to go alone." she said. "How about you go with me?"
"Alright." I said. "Where do you want to go?"
"I'm not sure. How about the beach?"
That gave me an idea. We were in Florida, thankfully. After dinner, the bus picked us up. I whispered to the driver to take us to the beach.
When we pulled up, she asked, "Where are we?"
"The beach." I said. I handed a pair of shorts and a tank top to her. "Jeans and a t-shirt won't be very comfy." I said, going to the bedroom to change. I came back and she went to change. We got off the bus and the wind brushed across my face. I closed my eyes and took in this feeling. Jess poked me. I laughed and we walked along water, talking about life and happiness.
I don't know if she saw it, but I couldn't help but stare at her as she talked. I smiled and I could hear nothing but her voice and the trees.
I don't know why, but my hand slowly reached over and took hers. She looked up, but then she looked back down. I could've swore I saw a smile creep across her face.
We walked for a long time not even talking. We didn't need words; we didn't need words to help us communicate. Her hand squeezed mine.
"Thank you, this means a lot to me." she said. "I really like talking about this stuff."
"Can't you talk to Caroline? Not that I mind, but she is your girlfriend."
"She doesn't take things seriously. That's good, but when I want to talk serious she doesn't want to. I'm happy we talked." she smiled. Her phone buzzed. She checked it, which meant her hand pulled away from mine. "That's Caroline." she said, texting her back.
Of course. Please insert the sarcasm.
"She wants me to meet her at the bus." she sighed. "Thank you, Jenna. Really."
I smiled, but I wished we could stay longer. "You're welcome." I said. We went back to the bus and drove back to the venue. I walked Jess to The Summer Set bus.
"Do you want to stay and hang out?" she asked.
"No thanks." I said. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight." she said. "And Jenna? Thank you."
"You're welcome." I said. I went to the Take Six bus. And when I answered, Sarah looked scared for her life. Which she should be. Haha.
She ran away and I chased her, the guys looking at us like we were crazy. I chased her into the bedorom and she fell onto the bed. I pinned her down by her arms and sat on top of her.
"Why the heck would you leave me?!"
"I was playing match maker!" she said.
"Match maker? The girl has a girlfriend!"
