A faint noise stirred Ron from his sleep. Sitting up in bed, he looked at his wife still sleeping soundly. He heard the sound again and slowly got out of bed. Walking quietly, trying not to wake Hermione, he made his way down the hallway to a dimly lit room.

The noise got louder. It wasn't so much a cry, more like a tiny whimper.

Ron slowly approached the crib, not wanting to wake the baby if she wasn't already awake. When he reached the edge of the crib he gazed down into an alert pair of rich brown eyes.

With some interesting stuff..."

By the time he'd finished one verse Rose had stopped drinking and was fast asleep. He gently shifted her in his arms, had the bottle wash and put itself away, and turned to take Rose back to the nursery. As he turned he was met by a second set of rich brown eyes.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "Did I wake you?"

"No," she answered, "is she alright?"

"She's fine. Just wanted a midnight snack I suppose."

Together they put Rose back to bed, standing for a moment just to look at her.

"A little early to be teaching her the school song isn't it," Hermione laughed as they got back in bed.

"Well," he shrugged, "it was either that or A Cauldron Full of Hot, Strong Love
