"So what's the plan, Harry?" hissed Neville, peeking out the door into the dark hallway for a split second.

"There isn't one," Harry muttered in reply. "Stupid idea, really."

"Let's wing it, mate," Ron whispered suddenly. Harry looked at him, his eyebrows raised. "It's always worked for us before."

An echo of a voice suddenly spoke in Harry's mind, an old line springing into his head.

"Just going to make it up as we go along, are we? My favorite kind..."

With a suddenly goofy grin on his face, Harry looked at his two friends. He nodded curtly, and then slashed his wand through the air. Neville joined him, while Ron glanced out the door every three seconds.

Streamers of blazing colors erupted around the room in front of them, draping the bookshelves. Tablecloths sprang up from midair, and Ron carefully floated the food in from where it sat waiting.

There was barely a second's pause from when the decorations were finished to Ron hissing, "They're coming!"

With the snap of a wand, the lights in the old library went off and the room was still but for the breathing of the three men and the footsteps slowly approaching the door.

"You know, he couldn't look me in the eye since you and Neville came over this morning," Hermione said.

"As if Neville told me anything," Hannah replied. "He just told me that you and Ginny had invited me over for a shopping trip, and for us to take our time."

Ginny said nothing, but simply rolled her eyes. She had whittled out the idea from Harry the night before, but was on strict terms not to say anything.

"I wonder where they all are, anyway," Hermione said slowly. "There's not a peep in the house, and you know how hard that is with three boys in the place." The other girls giggled as Hermione opened the door and stepped into the dark room.

Turning on the lights, she shrieked as the three men jumped out at her, screaming, "Surprise!" in unison.

Ron's arms grabbed her tightly as music came on and spun her around the room in a faux waltz.

"Happy Anniversary, love," he said. Hermione giggled. The bright colors of the room looked as if the joke shop had been temporarily set up in the library.

"I knew you wouldn't forget," she muttered.

Harry cleared his throat awkwardly, one arm wrapped around Ginny.

"So... who's up for some cake?"
