A girl.. Always expected of the best.. Perfect scores.. To be a present with a pretty bow just sitting there, unopened, forever, because there's really nothing in there, it's just a decoration.
When all else fails, cry in room quietly, don't say anything. Because even through everything you do, it's still not enough.
                     (Six year later)
"Oh, her? She's just really serious, all she does is learn any and everything"
"are you sure? She looks like she need a friend" "nah, she's just a loner" "...". But she couldn't just be ignored by the new student "hey, Yukki, you understood the lesson right? I got none of it, can you help?" The way her eyes sparkle when someone talks to her, but then yet her poker face remains "we can meet up after school if you don't mind" she says going back to reading her college textbook. "Yukki! Look! I got the Genos chibi keychain!" "Genos?" "I-it's an anime" a girl says as a sweat drops from her forehead "ah, yes, anime is popular" her eyes sparkle again before fading once again as she turns to her textbook "mm~ class! Guess what! I am going on a date with my boyfriend after school!" The teacher brags and there's a long silence "do you want to come over then?" She asks "sure if you don't mind" "it's no problem" her eyes sparkle once more. He comes to her house, seems clean in her room, though he doesn't know that there's a stash stuffed into her closet, she went to get them a snack and runs into her parents "can we talk for a moment?" She turns her attention to them "well, we aren't making much money so... We are going to sell your body" he hears but lies when she asked if he heard anything. After she waves bye to him she runs away into an unknown direction, missing posters come up after she doesn't come to school. Found only a week later by him "hey, you realize they're looking for you" "please don't hand me in" she shakes "I won't if you don't want me to, though someone else will if you continue to roam around",those dead eyes threaten to cry. He lets her stay at his place!
She sits there and looks around.
"You hungry?" He asks passing her, she shakes her head no
      "I just ate" she says
      "They didn't notice you?"
      "I had my hood on"
"Oh..." He sits down across from her.
"Why'd you run away in the first place?"
"I..." She looks down at the floor sadly.
"I couldn't take it anymore" she tears up.
"Hey, don't cry, I'm sorry for asking" she shakes her head
"It felt good to tell you even that bit"
"Well, if you ever want to talk, you can talk to me" he stands up
      "Thank you".
He sets up a futon for her and she sleeps the night at his place and comes to school the next day.
A lot of people ask her about it but she just says 'I'm good'.
She comes home with him and spends the afternoon studying.
"Your really serious about your studies aren't you?"
     "It's more of a habit"
     "Really? That must suck"
"It does" he turns to leave and she stands.
"Oh hey Y-" he turns and bumps into her, falling over onto her, her catches himself before he can fall onto her, hovering over.
"Sorry!!" He apologizes only to be grabbed and dragged into a hug.
"Do you mind if we stay like this for a moment?"
       "No" he blushes
"Did you want to ask me something?"
     "Yeah, the math homework"
      "You need help with something?"
      "Yeah"
      "M'kay, I'll help you"
      "Thanks"
      "Your welcome"
                        -that night his pov-
I feel someones presence approach me, I open my eyes.
"Sorry, did I wake you up?" Yukki smiles
       "Yeah, but it's fine"
       "Can we talk?"
"Sure" she lays down next to me.
"I'm sorry you had to hear what you heard"
        "Hear what?"
"The 'selling my body' thing, I know you heard it, there's no point of hiding it"
"Is that why you ran away?"
"It was the last I could take of it, of my parent"
         "I see"
"It's almost as if nobody cared, they saw I was in pain but they didn't care or maybe I hid it so well nobody noticed"
"They do care they just don't know what's going on"
"It's hard, trying to be perfect, being frowned upon on the littlest of things" she yawns.
"You should get some sleep" I tell her as her eyes slowly shut on their own.
          "Can we cuddle?" She asks
"Sure" I find it weird, but I guess maybe she never got any love and attention from her parents, so I'll give it to her.
-time skip-
"Wow! It's so pretty!"
"You've never been to the beach Yukki, have you?"
"Nope" she smiles.
~stuff~
"(?)?" Yukki shouts.
"Mm?" I turn to find Yukki in a bikini.
"Oh.. Wow" I don't know what to say.
"Mio-chan said I could borrow it for today"
"Mio-chan?"
"Yeah"
"Really? I'm surprised, she hates everyone"
-other stuff-
"Yukki?" I ask as I carry her any to hear her soft breathing, she fell asleep.
"Better get her back to the hotel"
-at hotel-
"Hello~" Mio appears.
"Mio-chan?" Yukki wakes up
"Look at you two love birds!!" Both of our faces go red as Mio continues to ramble on about other things.
"And guess what! I got a room for you two!"
"Just us!?"
"Of course, how else are you two supposed to make love tonight?" I am face palming, I want hide, Yukki already is, Mio has the wrong impression on us!!
"Well then, let's go" I laugh nervously
-awkward-
"Sorry" I apologize, it's my sister after all.
"It's a full moon tonight" Yukki says from the balcony.
"Yeah, it's really pretty" I smile as Yukki looks back at me with a smile.
"It is" I blush, she's cute, good thing it's dark. "Thank you (?)"
     "Huh?"
"I don't know where I would be without you"
     "What do you mean?"
"It's.. I mean.. If I didn't meet you.. I would be wandering the streets or I'd be back to my life full of depression, I wouldn't have any friends, I wouldn't have experienced what I have, the places we went, everything, thank you"
"It's nothing much I mean.. Anyone would.."
"No, not everyone.. A large percentage of people aren't as kind as you"
"..your welcome" what else am I supposed to say? She walks towards me.
     "Left side?"
     "Right side?" I grin
"Yup" she giggles before getting into bed, I follow.
"Btw" she says before getting tucked in "what is this? I found it on the bedside table" she pulls out a condom. I cover my face in embarrassment but on the inside I'm laughing. Oh geez, she really wanted us to get it on, didn't she? She even tried to convince me to say some shitty pickup lines.
"You don't need to know" I take it away from her and hide it, please forget about it. She tilts her head in confusion.
"But I want to know, what was it?" She gets closer to my face.
"It doesn't matter!" I slightly back away only to get tackled.
"Meanie!" She sticks her tongue out at me. I stick my tongue out at her. She pouts before hugging me.
"It's fine, I don't have to know, I'm sure I'll figure out soon enough" the thought sends chills up my spine. Minutes pass and we stay in the position we are in before I hear her steady breathing. She fell asleep huh? I fall back onto my pillow and daze off myself.
(Flash forward: "that's cruel! That's what they use those things for!? To not let babies be born!?)
"MORNING LOVED BIRDS!!" I jerk up to the sound of the door burst open and a voice screaming like an alarm clock in the morning.. As it is now.
"You didn't get it on did you? You both are fully clothed" she look disappointed, I press my finger against my lips, motioning for her to be quiet.
"She was tired and fell asleep right away" I make up an excuse.. Wait.. Why are we going along with this.
"Hm.." Yukki wakes up "morning" she says sleepily.
"I'll leave you two, I have some of my own business!" She runs out... Alright then.
                          -time skip-
"Yukki! Darling!! Where have you been!" Her parents run up to her but she runs away and hides behind me.
"Yukki, come on, it's your parents, not mine" she looks out from behind me only to hide again.
"Sorry, she's been through a lot" I laugh
"And who are you young man?"
     "I'm Yukki's friend"
"Friend? Never thought I'd hear that word" her mom laughs, her dad just stands back, without a word, looking serious.
"Yukki" I pull her out as she struggles to hide behind me again.
"Well, why don't we come inside and talk Yukki, please come too, it doesn't seem like she will sit with us"
"Yeah, sure" soon we are all inside, sitting in the living room. Yukki clings to me like a leech.
"Yukki, I was so worried about you" her mom says.
"No you weren't" Yukki says under her breath, just loud enough for all of us to hear.
"Yukki" I try to calm her down.
    "I apologize.." I begin.
"Please don't apologize" her mom says and silence befalls us "she has every right to hate us"
"I'm sorry Yukki" her dad mumbles.
"Heh, she's really changed" her mom laughs.
"She used to be straight faced, now she's actually got an attitude, emotion to her, I'm guessing I have you to thank for that"
      "Um, I guess" awkward.
"Enough about her, let's talk about you, what's your name?"
     "It's (?), I'm Yukki's classmate" (and room mate).
"Classmate huh? Friend.. You mentioned.. Boyfriend perhaps"
"Just friend" why does everyone think that we're dating?
     "Oh? Why not?"
"I think the parents should contribute in the approval" silence falls over us.. Did I say something wrong?
"Not.. I don't think of her that way?" My face goes red, I fucked up. Her father places a hand on my shoulder, CRAP!
"Take good care of my daughter" he looks up at me with a smile. Whatthefuck!!! That's not what I was expecting. It feels like I'm asking for her hand in marriage.
"T-take good care of me" she acts all shy.
     "You too Yukii!?!"
