Once upon a time, there was a very dangerous man, who killed many through battle, and he hears about someone who is very powerful and goes to challenge this person and it's said that this person is the child of a noble that lives there. This noble had a son and a daughter, the guy thought it was the son so he attacked him
      "what the crap dude!?"
     "Fight me"
     "what are you talking about!?"
"Stop! I am the one you seek" she appears behind her brother in the distance holding the fan in front of her
"don't play dumb with me" he laughs
"you will only be disappointed if you fight my brother, I challenge you if you do not challenge me, is that well?" She closes her fan and folds her hands together
"alright, but don't go crying if you get hurt"
"oh, please" she says as wires appear around her closing in on her but she jumps up and lands on them and walks towards him on them and as he moves them she jumps up once again and she appears behind him and puts a katana against his throat
"Your the one that will be crying at your knees" she say as she knocks him over making sure he doesn't attack anymore, pinned! She smiles
"would you like to join we for tea now?" She forced him to join her then during that a guard runs in
"your highness, the king was attacked"
"Mhm, find the location then we will depart at nightfall"
     "such high requirement"
"well of course, you have to get it done some time"
-nightfall-
"Why did I have to come?"
"Hm? Your my dog now" she smiles
"What?" He doesn't look pleased
"Yeah, if you be a good boy I'll praise you" she pats him lightly on the head. What is this woman? She seems like the most innocent thing in the world but she sure could pick a fight.
"Oh don't be sad fluffy" she pouts.
    "Fluffy!?!"
"Well, yeah, I always wanted a dog named fluffy"
"I will tell you that my name is-"
"It's ok, I like the name fluffy"
    "Listen to me woman!"
"I am a female, a young adult, I am not that old, thank you kindly fluff"
    "Fluff? What the heck?"
    "It's short for fluffy"
"You've thought this over, haven't you?"
"I may have during my tutoring studies"
"That's nice to know" he grumbles and turns away, having a pissed vibe to him.
                         -time skip-
    "Fluffy, where are you going?"
"Crap" he stops in his tracks and turns to her "I'm running away from home"
"Why would you want to do that?" She slightly lifts her skirt and makes her way towards 'fluffy'.
    "I'm not treated well"
"What's wrong fluffy? Do I not feed you well enough? I even let you sit with your master at the table, or do you not like the quarters you're living in"
"My 'owner' can even call me by my real name"
"Is that what's wrong Zen?" The girl asks and his eyes widen slightly from shock.
"You're a fucking outlaw dude, what did you expect?"
     "True" he pauses.
"Btw, there was something I wanted to show you" she says as she smiles.
"K?"
"Don't stray off, it's pretty cool" she leads him to an old abandoned dojo.
"This place has been abandoned for about 25 years, the owner of this place passed away after giving the rights to his daughter, she takes care of it every weekend"
"And? What's so cool about this place"
"When I was little, I would always come here when I was mad at someone and just wanted to, a- rage, b- cry. Then one day, an man appeared, I didn't know who he was, but he saw me raging and told me I was doing it wrong, so he taught me a large variety of martial arts, my parents, didn't like that I was snapping my chopsticks in half and breaking apples with my bare fists so they sent me a strict tutor to make me a real princess, I fit her morals but I still stuck to my training with the man.."
"The, man, he would always wear this familiar mask, I didn't know where it's from but it look familiar, I invited him attend a festival with me, he told me he wasn't excepted there, I was confused, then he didn't come one day, I went around town searching for him, but he wasn't there, and no one seemed to know him, I came back to find a note on the floor of the dojo, I still have the note till this day" she laughs and pulls out a paper.
"It's more of a letter than a note, but, I'll read it, 'dear Sunako, I apologize, I won't be able to make it today, or ever, you are wondering why I am not allowed to go to the festival, the festival is for my brother, he does not wish for me to be anywhere in his presence at the moment, and for the I can't make it thing, I got caught leaving the Heavens, they won't let me go anymore, sorry, please don't be mad, keep up the training, and remember, I'll always be watching over you as your guardian angel' I remember crying for hours, I have grown a bond with this.. God, but not as in mushy gushy feelings, it was simple admiration and I believe it was the same for him, he thought of me as a student, that is how I gained such strength"
"And you expect me to believe this?"
"Sure, why not?" She smiles
"God? Training a mortal? Sounds like it's out of a book"
"It does, doesn't it?" She smiles.
-skip-
"I'm glad you took the thrown, you will do well, call me if you need any military back up, me and Zen will be there in a flash." Zen just continues to grumble about stuff.
"K!" Her brother smiles.
"Oi, are you really ok with him taking the thrown?" Zen asks as they walk out of the palace gates.
"Of course, he will be a great leader, he has more wits than me, I can be a side character that way, he has the gods blessings"
"You have that one guy watching over you"
"But that is only him, my brother has communicated with many"
"So it's just common for you guys to talk to gods!?!"
"Not really" she laughs.
"Your coronation is tomorrow, isn't it?"
"Yup"
"Aren't you supposed to pick someone since you're a woman"
"Yeah"
"I don't recall you talking to any noblemen, how are you supposed to pick then?"
"It's been arranged, don't worry" silence falls over then.
"You'll come to my coronation, won't you?"
"I don't have a choice now do I?"
"Of course you do, but no you don't"
"Told you so" they spend the rest of the walk laughing over little things.
"Well, have a good rest" she says before they split paths.
"Yeah, night" with that they both walk away from each other. The next morning, the princess wakes up earlier than usual, to prepare for her coronation, her appoint to rule over a small portion of the land.
She puts on her best kimono, her best ornaments and prays before leaving for the coronation. During the coronation, she sees the familiar faces of her people, her brother, even a figure sitting atop the wall who grins when he sees her looking his way, tears run down her cheeks, and right in the back, is Zen, who just looks as vain as ever.
"Princess Sunako, for me to give you this crown, you were assigned a task, have you fulfilled it?"
"I have"
"Who is this successor? The successor has to be in your interests, has to be wise and strong enough to protect you, does this person meet these standards?"
"I have thought long and hard of these question and I have decided, Zen"
"Zen?" There is chattering through the crowd.
"Yes"
"Princess, you don't understand, he.."
"I know of his past, you do not have to remind me, but I know, he has changed, maybe not to you but to me, he is wise, being strong is out of the question, he's also very obedient" she lets out a small giggle
"He's not even a n-"
"Authority matters not, does it? It's he meets the standards, why complain? He may prove much more than expected"
"Yo, shorty, you stupid?" Zen appears in front of the crowd.
"Maybe, a little, there are many that can meet these standards, but one element of it would be missing, one of the requirements is, he has to be in my interests"
"Wtf shorty?"
"That is no way to talk to th-" the Princess stops the priest from continuing and stretches out her hand to Zen.
"Come on Fluffy, you will make a great ruler" he sigh and walks up.
"Just don't blame me when something goes wrong idiot.
"Don't worry, that's what I'm here for" she looks up at him and a faint smile crosses his lips.
    "Yeah.."
