There's a memory
Floating into the light of a new dawn
Like a smokeless fire
Something ignites in my heart
A hope like all the battles we fight
Can end up creating the most magical nights
Like yesterday means nothing
And anything that knocks me off my feet
Drags me farther away from defeat
Motivation shoots through me
Encouraging me to let go
Of all the I used to know
And create new songs
In the light of A New Dawn
I will travel
The distance it takes to change me at night
Discovering the new side to me
Now I know I'm better than the empty lies
The lies that did nothing but disguise
The kindness I saw in their eyes
