The sun was slowly setting. Colors of different tones of pink and orange filled the entire sky. I leaned my elbows on the windowsill as I watched the beautiful sunset in front of me. Despite being in the middle of the woods, I had an amazing view of the nature. The endless tall forest green trees was all I saw and a tiny bit of the busy city, barely there in the background. After being in the city for so long, I could see that nature was underrated. I could have enjoyed being here if it wasn't under these weird circumstances.
"Natalie?" Harry's voice broke through my thoughts.
"Yeah?" I said, without turning around. My gaze was focused on the beautiful sunset.
"What would you want for dinner?" He asked, dealing with the mini grill in front of him.
"The most simplest thing to make?" I asked hopefully.
"Hamburgers?" He suggested and held up a tupperware box in front of him.
"That will do."
Harry seemed to be a lot better on this outdoor stuff than I was, so I let him do all the work. After a few minutes of heating up our food, I happily grabbed my burger and ate it.
"Tell me about yourself," Harry said.
My brows furrowed ever so slightly. "What?"
"I mean, we have been in the same French class since freshman year, and I barely know anything about you. Which is sad, because it's only been a day here and I think you are one of the coolest girls in our grade," he smiled.
"Are you just saying that because you are stuck with me for the rest of this week?" I joked, trying to hide the fact that I was dying on the inside after the captain of the basketball team said that I was one of the coolest girls in our grade.
"Yes," he joked. "No, but like seriously. Tell me about yourself."
"I feel pressured, but okay," I chuckled. "My full name is Natalie Cadence Jeffers. I turned 17 in August. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. I am the oldest of my two little twin brothers Aiden and Nolan and soon another one. My dad works in a nationwide oil company and is out of the country most of the time for business trips. My mother works as a wedding planner in cooperation with the bridal dress shop in the city. My twin brothers are thirteen years old and my mother is currently expecting a new baby in March. I don't really have any hobbies and I have a part time job at the supermarket. And as you know my future plans is to study the French language in Paris for a while with my aunt."
Harry looked at me with a half smile, dimples visible.
"Your turn," I said.
"Well," he started off. "My name is Harry Edward Styles. I'm turning 18 in February next year. I was born and raised in Holmes Chapel, Chesire in England. When I was 13, my dad got a huge promotion in the business he worked in, so we moved to Boston for a year before we got promoted to Portland. My mother is an accountant, I haven't really payed attention to which company. My older sister stayed in Boston to study medicine. I wish I had time for a job, but basketball takes up most of my time and I guess that is what my future is going to consist of."
"I know it's not your favorite topic to talk about... But do you want to continue with basketball?" I asked.
He exhaled a deep breath and looked down. "I do like it and my coach says that I have a good chance of getting a scholarship, but I would like to have other options. I feel like my parents wouldn't approve."
"Are you doing this to please your parents?"
He lightly shrugged his shoulders. "I don't really know. What are your parents saying you moving to Paris? That's quite a big step."
