Perfect

Today I learned something.

I have to be perfect.

Yep.

I can't do a single thing wrong.

I can't even make the smallest mistake.

It doesn't matter if I'm having a bad day.

I have to be absolutely and 100% perfect all the time no matter what's happening.

Because obviously you're perfect.

Everything you do is right and you don't make a single mistake.

So if there's anyone who sees differently than you, they must be wrong.

What's that about judging people? No, you don't judge people.

Because everyone knows that every teenager has to be a hard-hearted, music-addicted jerk who hates everyone and everything, right?

And if I show a single sign of not wanting to talk because I don't feel the best at the moment, that means I must be turning into one of those people, right?

And if there's a single teenage girl who doesn't hate her mom, that means she simply doesn't exist, right?

Because it's not that no one understands her. Everyone understands she's not the flawless little girl you always wanted.

But she must be hard-hearted, so obviously she doesn't have real feelings.

So it's alright if no one cares that she feels this way.

Right?
