Chapter (3) : The other room
At this point, there is nothing that anyone can do. Those words "rape your classmate Mona" kept echoing in Samson's ears a thousand times. His heart kept beating roughly and fast that it was burning his chest. If only his hands could reach his heart to rip it off.
Samson was sent to the dark room once again. Only this time, his mind was wrecked. Alone, on the ground and helpless.
"Mona" he called many times while bursting in tears.
For days he stayed, handcuffs and blind fold on. Samson was dirty and messed up, alone trapped with his mind. There was no way out. A man kept checking up on him from time to time and giving him a glass of water.
Samson survived on just water...
Every minute passes by, his whole life flashes in front of him.
Every tear he shed, felt like he was shedding a million drop on a close friend's funeral.
For how long can his body take this?
After days that felt like years in the dark room, finally an officer opened the door and kicked Samson's back while he was lying on the ground.
"Get up" he shouted.
Many others came to shove Samson through the long corridor to an unknown space.
"Five days in the dark room ought to teach you a lesson" said a man walking closely behind him.
They walked for a long while until they reached that certain place, then they pushed Samson on a wall and removed his handcuffs and blind fold.
"Sign here" ordered the officer.
After few fast blinks, Samson glanced at a paper close to his eyes on the wall. The man's hand was covering the content, but another man from behind his back put a pen on his hand and moved it close to the paper.
Samson understood what they want and so he did sign in fear.
On the wall, to his left, he could see a metal door with a small window at the size of a book. It had bars on them, but he couldn't see inside.
The police men dug his fingers on Samson's back to push him inside the room harshly to hear Samson's cry while he fell on the ground, then he locked the door tight.
Samson stood on his feet feeling grateful that they didn't put the handcuffs or the blind fold back on him. He took another second to examine the new place that he was pushed to and he left his mouth open wide.
In that gloomy room, there was his friend Maki from school. He was sitting on the ground in one corner. Next to him was his lab partner Adam, laying his head on Maki's shoulder and looking so tired and exhausted. Across the room, there were two more victims. Their bodies carried severe bruises.
Maki and Adam were surprised that Samson was arrested with them. They rushed to pull Samson to their arms and hugged him so tight.
They were so relieved.
"Sam, you're here!" Maki said in a cheerful tone.
Adam added "You are a live! You are okay!"
"I'm so happy that you are here with me" said Samson.
Maki let out a tear drop after a laugh "No, I'm happy! I'm not alone"
The three friends were finally reunited. In the worst place and situation there is, they could still find a glance of hope and a way to smile.
"Guys, have you seen Jessie anywhere?" Samson's face expression changed.
"Oh yeah, his house was across mine. They took him first I guess" answered Adam.
"I couldn't remember anyone or anything. I just met Adam an hour ago here" said Maki.
Samson paused with his head down.
"Jessie was with me in the van when they took us" he said.
He rose his face up and asked " what about Mona? Have you seen her?"
"They took Mona?" shrieked Maki in stun.
"They arrest young women too?" Adam was shocked.
"I heard her voice the first day I was here and someone whispered her name to my ears" said Samson.
Suddenly, they were tensed. Goosebumps were covering their whole bodies.
"Mona" whispered Samson to his self.
Maki touched Samson's shoulder and moved him close. They sat on the ground, backs on the wall and their heads fell down to their chests. The road in front of them is unknown. It was simply unclear. What will happen to all of them? Even their moments of joy doesn't last for over few minutes.
When will it end?
Hours passed by before the door was unlocked again. Police men covering their faces entered the room with delicious dishes in their hands. It was a feast.
One of the police officers lined up the victims side by side on their knees. They put the food in front of the prisoners for their drool to drop.
"This is all yours to eat" said one officer giggling.
The five victims in that room just stared at the food while shivering. Something is just not right. Samson felt so worried.
"Of course, there is a catch to this" the officer said after a laugh.
"We'll torture a certain someone in front of you while you eat" he used his evil tone "And we won't stop until you finish this entire feast" he laughed.
It was impossible. Five hungry victims couldn't finish this huge feast alone. There were more than twenty large dishes with meat, shrimp, fish, chicken and pots of rice.
They brought a chair across the feast for the victim that they would torture.
They froze. Samson's eyes were wide when the victim entered the room.
...
It was Mona.
"Shall we begin?" said the officer.
