One Month Later, Saturday afternoon. April 10th at Operations

I've been training for a month, and my skills are progressing fast. In the month, Ive learned to shoot a gun with decent accuracy, and I can now take down some of the smaller cadets. I can also explain how to genetically engineer something with the help of FitzSimmons. Of course, I have to thank Ward and Graham for that.

Speaking of which, Ward walks up to me. "Suit up." He says shortly. "We've got a mission." I jump up from the bench where I've been working on new Sci-Tech work and follow him. "A mission?" My voice comes out as a squeak. "But it's only been a month!"

"Yes, and you're the only one who can complete this mission. So get ready. Briefing in 10." Ward says. I stop and duck into my room, quickly getting changed into a uniform.

Minutes later, I'm standing in a briefing room. "We've received a bomb threat to this high school here. Minor threat to everyone else, but considering who sent it, dangerous to us." Maria Hill explains.

"Who sent it?" I ask. "None of your concern." Hill says. "Now, the bomb is rumored to be hidden somewhere in the school, which means someone will have to go undercover. Unfortunately, none of you look young enough for high school. Fortunately, Rose, you do. You'll be going undercover as a freshman. You've got about three days to try and find the bomb and disarm it. Wheels up in fifteen." Did I mention I learned that too? I nod. "Alright."

Ward and I are left with Hill in the briefing room. Ward hands me an earpiece. "Now, your story is that you're a transfer student from Ohio. I'll be in your ear the whole time running point on the mission. Just try to blend in. Undercover is all about making friends." He says. "Right." I say, gulping nervously. "Ohio. Make friends. Got it!"

"You'll do great, Breezy." Ward says encouragingly. I nod, taking a deep breath. "It's your first mission, you'd be crazy if you weren't scared. Besides, it's just high school. Wouldn't you be going in a few months anyways?" I nod again.

By the way, Breezy is my nickname. Ward calls me that because of how small and fast I was when we met. I'm fine with it. Jemma and Fitz call me Rosie.

Deep breath. Wheels up in ten.
