*Ron's POV*
"Reggie, I've got to go, I've got a date with my couch!" I plead to my boss in the Auror office.
"A date with your couch, huh?" Reggie smirks, nodding knowingly. "I have a feeling you're pulling my leg here. It's only 3pm, you can stay till 4. I'm being generous here, Ron!"
I nod. Worth a try, right? I get back to work, emailing the Obliviate office and reading through mission reports.
Lying in bed that night, I ponder about my current situation. I mean, being single has its advantages- no one to stop you doing anything. You're free to do whatever you want, whenever you want. Nothing is stopping you from waking up at 3 in the morning and jumping on your bed. Nothing is stopping you from not cleaning the house for months on end. Nothing is stopping you from singing so loud in the shower, you have to put a Muffilato charm on the door so your neighbours don't call the cops. Yeah, being single is awesome.
But then again, if I was in a relationship, I would wake up to the sound of the girl I loved sleeping next to me. I would bring home bottles of wine and have a date night at home, with a little bit of Netflix and chill! On top of that, the electricity, water, phone and internet bill would be halved, and I wouldn't have to spend as much on food. But I mean, how do you even get a girlfriend? Not that I want to, I think...
The next morning, I patter around the house, wondering what to do on such a lovely Saturday. I could stay in, but I always do that. I could go to Harry's and do something with him. Yeah actually. Maybe he has some ideas on how to get a girlfriend. I mean, he got one, but he just found her at the Leaky Cauldron. So unromantic. Honestly, that was a stroke of luck. Luck that I desperately want, and need.
