*Ron's POV*

"Ron, Ginny just called. She said she's coming over with a friend. That okay?" Harry yells down the hall to his living room, where I am perched eating ice cream.

"What do you mean, a friend?" I yell back, confused.

"A friend, you doofus. But she said that her name is Hermione, and she's looking for a boyfriend. Apparently Ginny told her some of my friends are really hot!" Harry walks back to the living room.

"Right. And what did you tell her?"

"I said that my only friend is Ron, and he's the ugliest man I've ever met! Happy with that? I also said that you want a girlfriend too, so maybe you guys will click. Gee, I love playing matchmaker!" Harry smiles. "Also, Ginny and I will be leaving, so you can have the house to yourself to woo her. Good luck!" I nod.

The doorbell rings. "I'll get it." I say, before leaping up, quickly fixing my messy hair and straightening my shirt. I stroll to the door and open it. "Hey Ginny!" I grin, but she skips past me and straight to Harry. Then Hermione comes in.

I mean, it's not like she's hot or anything. Like, she looks pretty average as looks go. So why is my heart beating out of my chest and my  mouth wide open? Is this love? I breathe in, trying not to display my emotions to this amazingness standing before me.

"Hi! Hermione, is it?"

Hermione seems to not hear me. "What? Oh, yes, hi! You must be Ron. Pleased to meet you."

"Pleased to meet you too." Very pleased. Very pleased. I step aside for her to enter. On the way past, her hand brushes against mine, and I struggle to not kiss her there and then. I close my eyes, open them again, and sit down in the living room.

Ginny is sitting on Harry's lap, stroking his head. Hermione sits next to me. Next to me. How long will it be before she's under me... Stop it Ronald! Get those thoughts out of your head. She will never want you.

Never.

*Hermione's POV*

"Ginny, what if he's ugly? What if he's mean? What if-"

"Quiet!" Ginny whispers back at me, as we walk up the steps to Harry's house. "Just stay cool. I'm going to go off with Harry, so you'll have the house to yourself to woo him. Good luck!"

I nod. Ginny knocks on the door as I fix my hair and straighten my shirt. The door opens, but Ginny is in the way of me seeing who opened it. "Hey Ginny!" the voice says. It doesn't sound like Harry... My heart skips a beat. It must be his friend! Ginny skips out of the way, and I stare at the man before me.

He's not really hot or anything. He just... He has an aura. An aura of strength. Is this love? He has a sort of blank expression on his face which makes it hard to breathe. Is he checking me out? He seems to gather his thoughts. He says something to me, but I don't hear it. All I hear is the birds tweeting. Snap out of it Hermione! He asked you a question, so you have to answer.

"What? Oh, yes, hi! You must be Ron. Pleased to meet you." I stammer, pretty much just throwing the words out there because my mind is too preoccupied.

"Pleased to meet you too." That voice! I don't know why I love his voice so much, it's just so... angelic. He steps aside and I walk past him. Our hands brush together in the process, and I have to fight to overpowering urge to kiss him, right there. I breathe in, and walk into the living room. I take a seat next to Ron. Next to him. When will he be on top of me... Stop it Hermione! Get those thoughts out of your head. He will never want you.

Never.
