I sit on my couch and I cry,
Memories slowly passing by,
I laughed with you, was mad at you,
But now I sit and cry,
Flashes of what you went through,
What I wish I could do,
I pretend happiness, but I lie,
Every night I sit and cry,
Your laugh wakes me, I cant sleep,
I wish that I could give heaven a little peek,
Because not seeing you is making me weak,
Wish I was there, a whisper by your side,
So I wouldn't be here to sit and cry,
The dark forest that swallowed you whole,
I wish it would have showed you the path home,
People keep saying your in a better place,
But I would give anything to see that grinning face,
Time and more time is passing us by,
Time I use to sit here and cry,
Pain so deep, that windows can't reach,
My brain keeps talking but I am not capable of speech,
Takes one look, one sad eye,
To make me sit in the night and cry,
When people see me I always carry a smile,
No one knows that I'm turning that dial,
Trying to catch the show that's showing your face,
Trying catch the run that's winning your race,
But believe me I will get by,
But for now, I'll sit here and cry.
