Chapter 6

Mia's POV

Todd came over to put my bed together and he brought Christopher. It wasn't weird like I thought it would be, I actually enjoyed just having a conversation with the two of them. While they were putting the bed together I went and called my mother and talked to her for a while. When I finished I decided to go check on the guys and see if they needed anything. Right before I got to the room I heard them talking. "Chris drop it." "You're my best friend why are you keeping stuff from me?" "I'm not." "Then tell me what you know." "She was a virgin when you got drunk and had sex with her.. There is no way those babies couldn't be anyone else's.." "I knew it." "Now I just ruined my friendship with her can we stop talking?" I walked away and went to the living room. I wasn't really mad at Todd for telling Christopher that stuff, I just didn't understand why Christopher needed to know. He made a decision about what he wanted so why won't he let it go? I thought When guys said they wanted nothing to do with you and a baby they disappear from existence. "I don't know.." I mumbled. About thirty minutes later Christopher and Todd were coming into the living room so I stood up. "Hi." "Your new comfy bed is now put together." Todd smiled. "Thanks y'all.. I really needed it." "Why?" Christopher asked. "Because I can't sleep." "Oh." "We need to talk." "Ok! Just come over." "Oh and we moved the old bed to the other room." "Thank y'all." "You're welcome." Todd kissed my cheek and they left. After I locked the door I went and to make the bed up.

Two days later

Christopher's POV

When I got up today I started packing to go back on tour. I still had a few days off but I just wanted to get it out of the way. When I finished I took a shower and called Mia. "Hello?" "Hi.. Hey.." "Hey." She giggled. "I didn't think you were going to answer." "Oh." She laughed. "So um.. Hi." "Hey." She laughed again. "I'm sorry.. I called to see if you were free?" "I am free but I'm not meeting you Christopher." "I know I made an ass out of myself the last few times we met but I promise it'll be different this time." "I don't believe you." "I swear I won't cry and pout this time." She started laughing. "Since I'm in a good mood I'll meet you at the Walter." She giggled. "Ok when?" "Five minutes?" "Alright I'm on my way." "Alright." We hung up and I got dressed and left out.

When I got to the café I spotted Mia walking over so I went over to her. "Hey." "Hey Christopher." "How are you doing today?" "Alright, how are you." "I'm alright." We walked over to the cafe and I opened the door for her. "Thank you." "You're welcome." I looked around for a second. "Can I get you anything?" I asked and she looked around. "Umm.." She kept looking. "No I'm good, thanks for offering." She was still looking around. "We have time you can figure it out." I kinda laughed. "Um.." I shook my head and looked at her. "I should probably get the raspberry tea.. But they have strawberry.. Maybe I should get a muffin instead... Nah I'm gonna get the tea." She looked up at me so I smiled. "What are you gonna get?" "Coffee and one of those muffins." I kinda laughed. "Oh..." She looked at the muffins then at me. "I'll take the tea." "What kind?" "The strawberry ice tea." "Ok.. Do you want a muffin?" She looked at the muffins. "Um.." I started laughing. "What kind are you gonna get?" She looked up at me. "Banana nut." "Oh.. I'm gonna go with blueberry." I almost didn't want to ask her if she was sure. "You sure?" "Yes." "Alright."

I got our things then her and I went over to a table. I pulled out her chair so she could sit. "Thank you." She smiled and sat down. "No problem." I went and sat across from her. "So how was your day?" "It was alright, I just had a clinic appointment." "Are you ok?" "Yeah." "Are the babies?" "Yes they are great." "Oh ok. That's actually why I asked you here." "Alright, what's up?" "I know I've been a pain in the back the past few months and I just want to apologize for it. I was a selfish jerk and I must have been awful to you." "It's alright, this is a lot to process." "Yeah it was but I thought about it and I want to be there." She looked at me fore a few seconds. "You do?" "Yeah. I don't want to miss any parts of my children's lives." "Wow.." "I know what I said last time and I honestly don't know why I said that stuff. I knew that I wanted to be there I guess I was just confused." "You're serious?" "Yes." "You're not going to change your mind next week?" "No, I'm in this 100 percent." "Do you want to take a DNA test?" I was still confused about that part. "I don't know." "What do you mean?" "Well.. I was talking to Todd and he told me that theirs no way the babies are not mine.." "Oh, Christopher.. He told you the truth but if you're still not sure then I want you to be 100 percent. If that means taking the test we can do that." I exhaled. "Alright." "Ok." She sipped her tea. "And you're ok with doing the test?" "Yes." "Alright, I'll set something up and let you know." "Alright." She smiled. "Can I ask you something?" "Sure." "What is Mia short for?" "Amia." I just looked at her. "I'm sorry you're so underwhelmed." She giggled and looked out of the window. "I'm not." I laughed. "So you said you had a clinic appointment?" "Yeah, just to check on the babies." "How are they?" "Fine, they are having a good day I guess." "Why?" "They won't stop moving." "Really?" I looked at her stomach. "Yeah.." "Are they moving now?" "Yeah." "Really?" "You wanna feel it?" "Can I?" "Sure." "You have to come over here." I got up and went over to her and she unzipped her jacket. "Put you're hand right here." She pointed to the front right side of her stomach so I did. There was a little push then it stopped. "They like talking too." "Really." "Yeah." She put her hand on mine and moved it to the side. When she did that there was more kicking. "Whoa!" I smile and she moved my hand again. As long as my hand was there they moved and kicked. "This is awesome." "They are showing off today." She laughed. "Does it hurt?" "Sometimes depending on how I'm laying or sitting but not really." "This is amazing." I smiled and looked at her. "Yeah it is." "She smiled and I moved my hand around. "Chris?" I looked up and seen Liz's best friend Kelly. "Hi Kelly." I knew she was going to take this out of context. "What are you doing?" I moved my head and went and sat back in my chair. "Talking." "To who?" She looked at Mia. "Well Christopher I have to go but we'll talk alright." Mia got up. "I can walk you to your truck." "Naw that's alright." "You sure?" "Yeah." "Alright drive safely." "Alright." She took her tea and muffin and left.

When Mia left I got up. "What the hell was that?!" "Nothing." "You were borderline making out with her!" "You're being dramatic." I got up and got my stuff. "I have to tell Liz about this." "About what?" "What you were doing with that lady." "What was I doing with her?" "Making out with her." "So you're going to lie?" "Its not a lie." "If you tell her I was making out with her it'll be a lie." "Its what I saw." "Ok Kelly." I went out to my car and got in. I'm not really worried about what Kelly is going to tell Liz because Liz knows she doesn't like me. I'll just tell her the truth and that will be that.

Mia's POV

When I got home I called Amanda. "Hey girl!!" She answered. "What are you doing?" "Just hanging out in the house. How was the clinic?" "It was good, the babies are alright." "Did you find out what you are having?" "No, I decided not to." "What?? We need to shop!!" "I know but I got scared.." "Why? Next time I'm going and were going to find out!! I need to shop for my babies!" "Ok." I laughed. "You're not going to believe this." "What?" "I met with Christopher today.." "Ugh what happened this time?" "He said he wanted to be there for me and the babies." "Really?" "Yeah." "Wow.." "That's what I said. I asked him if he was going to change his mind and he said no he wants to be there." "I knew he was a good guy." "You are bias." "I am.. But I didn't seen him walking away from you, he just seems like a better man than that." "Well.. I'm just going to see how it goes." "Its going to be alright." "I hope so but I'm still not going to change my plans. I'm going to take care of these babies and let him do whatever he wants." "True." We talked a little bit more then I decided to take a shower and watch TV. I fell asleep shortly after that.

The next morning I woke up to my phone ringing. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey Mia, its Christopher." "Hi." I sat up. "I know I'm calling early its just." "What?" "I called the DNA testing place yesterday and they said we could come in early today." "Oh ok, I'll get dressed, text me the address." "Alright." I went and washed up and brushed my teeth then got dressed and left. Christopher sent the address so I put it in Google maps and headed to the place. When I got to the DNA testing place I parked my truck and got out. I headed over to the place and went in. "Hey." Christopher said coming over to me. "Hey!" I smiled. "Hey guys." He said looking at my stomach. "Excuse me, these are girls." I walked away. "No I don't think so." "Excuse me?" I kinda laughed. "Did you feel those kicks yesterday? They are definitely boys." "No." I laughed and he went over and talked to the lady. The lady took us to the back and we did the test. When we were finished a lady told us the results would be in the mail in about a week. When everything was done we left and I went home. Since I didn't have to work today I went home a took a bath. When I finished I put on some pajamas and got back in the bed, it wasn't long before I was asleep again.

One week later.

Chris's POV

Today the DNA test results were supposed to come so I decided to go home to get them. I do have a show tonight so I won't be there long. When I got home I took a shower and changed then waited for the mail. When it came the testing results were there so I pretty much threw everything else on the couch and opened the letter. "Christopher A. Young is a 99.999 percent match to Amia R. Harris unborn children. Results are based upon 16 markers.. Blah blah blah." I folded the letter and put it on the couch. I thought I was going to be disappointed but I am actually excited. Before I could finish my thought my phone started ringing. "Hello?" "Chris you gotta get to the airport." It was my manager. "Oh yeah, alright." I put the papers away and left. When I got to the airport I got on the plane and waited for take off. While I was waiting I decided to call Mia. "Hello?" She answered. "Hey, its Chris." "I know that." She giggled. "I got the results today." "I got it yesterday." "Oh.. You weren't surprised huh?" "No, were you?" "I thought I was going to be but I wasn't.. I am honestly excited." "Really?" "Yeah." "Oh did you tell your family?" "Not yet, I think I'm going to sit them down and talk to them." "Oh ok." "So what are you doing?" "Eating ice cream." "What are the babies doing?" "Helping." She giggled and I started laughing. "What did you do today?" "Work.. I got sick at work so I got sent home. Now I'm just eating ice cream and reading a book." "What.." "Sir we're about to take off you have to get off the phone." "Oh alright." "Mia I'm going to call you later tonight alright?" "Alright." I hung up
