One week later.

Mia's POV

Today I finally got out of the hospital and I am happy. I was sick of being in there and even sicker of the food. After my friend dropped me off I decided to go and pick me up something to eat. I know that I'm not supposed to be driving but Popeye's isn't going to come to me so. When I got to Popeye's I ordered what I wanted and stood there. When my food was ready I figured I'd stop by and see Christopher. “I could have dropped the health forms off to him.. Shoot… I'll just go home and get them..” I mumbled and pulled off. I went home and got the papers then headed to his house. When I got there I rang the bell and waited for someone to answer. A few seconds later his friend Tony opened the door and walked away. “Ok..” I mumbled and went and closed the door. I stood there for a second then walked to the living room. There were like 20 people in there. It was intimidating but I took an internal deep breath and said hello to everyone. They all spoke then just kinda stared at me. (In real life Mia is so shy that she would have just excused herself and left.. Back to the story.) After a few seconds into the weird stares a girl started. “I'm Stephanie.” “Mia, nice to meet you.” “You too.” “I'm Chris's friend Cynthia.” “Mia, nice to meet you.” “You too, would you like to sit?” “No, I'm alright. Thanks.” “No problem.” A few seconds later Christopher came in. “Hey..” He said looking at me. “Hi..” “I didn't know you were here?” “It's alright, I just.. Need to talk to you.” “Bout what?” He put his hand on my belly. “I need you to fill out these papers.” I gave him the folder and he looked through the papers. “Ok I can do it now.” “Are you going to my appointment?” “Our appointment.” “Then you keep them and just bring them with you.” “Why?” I just looked at him. “‘Because I said so’ doesn't work on me.” “Well I didn't say that sir.” I laughed. “I'll just fill them out and you can take them with you.” “Are you sure because it's going to get really personal.” “Social security number personal?” “No just past and present health and mental health.” He looked through the forms again. “It isn't asking anything too much so I'll just fill them out and you can keep them.” “Ok.” “Oh these are my friends…” He stopped and looked at me. “How did you get here?” I just looked at him. “You drove?!” “Don't be mad.” “Mia??!” “How was I supposed to get to Popeye's??” I wined. “Call me.” “I didn't know if you were busy or not.” “For real?” He frowned. “And I was right, all of your friends are here.” I smiled and looked at them then back at him. “Aren't you happy that you didn't have to make them leave?” “Don't… Try an turn this around Amia.” He laughed. “Sorry.” I giggled.

Chris's POV

“Call when you get home.” I said. “Alright.” Mia left and I closed the door. I went to the living room and my friend James started. “So how'd you meet her?” “In a bar.” “Oh.” “Why?” “She's gorgeous.” “Thanks.” “I'm friends with her brother.” “Really?” “Yeah.. And she's my homeboys ex.” “For real?” Tony eyes got huge. “Yeah.” “You're lying.” Tony said shaking his head. “If you don't believe me I can call him.” “No thanks.” I cut in. “Do it.” He took his phone out and I'm guessing went to a number. “Don't say anything, we are about to break his heart.” He put the phone on speaker and a guy answered. “Hello?” “Brrruuhhh!” “What's up?” “Guess who I just saw!” “If you're calling to tell me about Keshia one more time..” “Not her.” “Then who?” “Ya ex.” “You saw Mia?” “Yup, she was looking as fine as she wanted to look.” “Did she ask about me?” “You're married.” “I know.. I'm just asking.” “She didn't.” “Did you not bring me up?” “You should really get over that girl.” “I know..” “If it makes you feel any better I didn't talk to her so I don't know if she would have brought you up or not.” “Oh.. Where you see her at?” “She was talking to a friend of mine.” “About what?” “Um.. St.. Stuff..” “What aren't you telling me?” “What?” “That's the only time you get to stuttering.” “I don't want you to get upset.” “Your friends a dude and she's dating him?” “ No..” “What?” “She's having his baby.” “What the fuck… What?!” “She's pregnant.” “By who?! Your friend?!” “Yes, she's real pregnant.” “Are you serious?” “Yeah..” “Wow..” “I'm sorry.” “Hey baby..” “Man I'm going to call you back.” “Alright.” “Alright.” He hung up and looked at me. “Was he hoping to get back with her or something?” “I don't know what he was hoping for.. I do know that he was in love with her.” “What happened?” “He broke up with her and moved to Delaware.” “Oh.” A few seconds later his phone started ringing again. “Why is my cousin face timing me?” He said answering. “Yo?” “MIA’S PREGNANT FOR REAL?!” “You are to happy about this.” “Brrooo!!” “I know I was shocked too.” “Damn son.. She was fine..” “She's still fine.” “Mmh.” “Mike told you?” “Yeah he said Kendra got in the car so he couldn't get the heads in tales of what was going on so I decided to call you.” “Mmm.. Yeah she's pregnant by my friend Chris.” “Damn bro.. He's lucky.. I was trying to get her number for the longest time.” I just shook my head. “She's having twins.” “Boy!” “Yeah man.” “You ain't tell mike that did you?” “Naw. You know he's hurt.” “Yeah..” “I'm going to call you back though.” “Alright.” “Alright.”
