A week later.

Mia's POV

Its been a week since I hooked up with the guy in a bar and I still feel like crap. I'm still trying to understand why I did it, I mean I've been drunk before and I've never done anything like that. I just don't know why I did it. I can't go back and change the past but I can shape the future, and with that I'll never drink again. I'm never going to go too another bar again and I'm never having sex again. "That's for damn sure." One thing was looking up for me though, Amanda got me the job where she works. I'm so thankful for that because there's no way I couldn't live here and not have a job. I shook my thoughts off and pulled myself together. Today was my first day at work so I decided to show up early just to see how things worked. When I got to the office I went in and looked around. There were a bunch of people already there so I decided to stroll over and listen to what they were talking about. Before I got all the way over to the group of people someone called me. "Ms Harris?" "Yes?" I turned around and seen it was the lady, Mrs Murphy, who interviewed me. "You're here early." "Yeah, I figured I would come early to see if I could get the hang of things so I wouldn't need too much help." "Ooh, I like that." "Thanks. If you have something I could do, I don't mind starting right now." "Well the receptionist just called out so you can do that." I was a receptionist at my old job so I knew I could do that. "Ok, I am actually good at that." "Really?" "Yes, I was a receptionist at my old job." "Ooh so you shouldn't have any problems!!" She smiled and showed me to the desk. She gave me the access pin to the computer and showed me the form to fill out when people wanted to make appointments. It was exactly the same as my old job so I knew I had this. "Alright Mrs Harris if you have any questions I'll be in my office." "Alright thank you." She walked away and I prepared myself for the calls.

When work was over I clocked out and headed to the exit. Right before I got to the door Mrs Murphy stopped me. "Hey ms Harris?" "Yes?" I looked at her. "You did a great job today." "Thank you, I'm glad I could help out." "How would you feel about that being your permanent position?" "That would be amazing.. It wouldn't affect anyone else would it? I only ask because I don't want anyone to think I'm out to get them." "I completely understand, and no you're fine." "Oh alright." "Alright, so I'll see you tomorrow?" "Yes!" I smiled and she laughed. "Alright." She left and I went out to my truck. I got in the truck and sat there for a few minutes then headed home. When I got home I took a shower and watched TV for a while. That got boring so I decided to go pick up some stuff from the store. When I got to the market I think I walked around for 20 minutes without picking up anything. I guess its because I just made market and I pretty much had everything I needed. I was just about to leave when I remembered I had to get more ice cream. "Can't live without ice cream!!" I giggled and headed over to it. I was just about to the ice cream aisle when I seen the guy, Christopher, from the bar. It felt like my heart fell into stomach. I shook it off and walked briskly past the aisle he was in and went to the ice cream section. I got what I wanted then headed to the line. I was so happy that there were a bunch of lines open, it made the check out quicker. I paid for my things and left. By the time I got back home I had a killer headache. I took some Tylenol then watched TV for a little while. I think I made it through two movies before I was calling it a night. The next day after work I had another headache. I figured I was just getting use to wearing contact lenses. I was going to go out but the headache made that very unattractive so instead I went home and watched tv.

Chris's POV

Today I hung out with Tony for a while then decided to go home. In the middle of me watching a movie my phone started ringing. "Hello?" I answered without looking. "I didn't think you would answer." I looked at the phone, the number wasn't stored but I knew it was my ex Liz. "Hi." I said. "How are you?" "I am alright.." "I guess you're wondering why I am calling." "Kind of." "I really hate the way things ended between you and I." "Its fine." "Really?" "Yeah." "I guess that makes what I am about to ask you easier." "What's that?" "What do you think about giving us another chance?" "I don't know about that Liz." "I know I cheated.. I really don't know why I did but I know I'll never do it again. You were the best thing that ever happened to me." "I don't know if I believe that." "Let me prove it.." "I don't know, can I think about this?" "Sure.. You have my number.. I'll wait for your call." "Alright." We hung up and I put the phone down. I honestly didn't know how I felt about that call. Liz is a great girl and I really did enjoy our time together. I just don't know if I can ever trust her again. I shook my head and sat there thinking about it for a while.
