Another Secret (Paused)

Chapter 6

I didn't make it that far

My mother forced the guards to chase me down bringing me back to the living room and placing me in a chair

"This is going to be fun" she said and began looking over the dresses

I was about to make a run for it again but the guards blocked the only exit

"Where to begin" she said taking a few dresses in her hands

I thought my chances were over but luck was on my side when Chloe walked in

"Hey mom" she said walking in smiling

"Help me" I said bolting up to her

"No" she said forcing me back down and I sat shellshocked

"What happened to this is evil and to run" I asked raising an eyebrow

"I changed my mind plus you can't let our extra guests down" she said winking before going to my mom and helping her pick out more dresses

"What have you done" I asked

"Oh nothing" she said waving me off before picking up a dress

Extra guests...... Which extra guests

"This one is cute" she said showing my mom and to which she agreed

"That will be the dress for the first round" said my mom and they put it to the side before I could get a chance to look at it

"The pageant is in 3 hours, Mary can you go get her hair and makeup done" said my mom and in came Mary our professional hair and makeup girl

They grabbed my wig and started to style when I stopped them

"Wait, aren't I supposed to be eve hasting" I asked confused

"No, moms worried about your secret getting out so your staying undercover" said Chloe and I just nodded and let the girls back to their job knowing there was nothing else I could do to stop them

She started to pull out tons of different makeup, and a hair straightener and curler

"Let's get started" she said and got to work

~1 and a half hours later~

"Perfect" she said spraying my hair in hairspray before backing away

"Oh honey you look gorgeous" said my mom

"Thanks" I said

"We have a problem" said Chloe and we all turned to her

"What is she going to do for the second round, the talent portion" she said

"Uh...can she do a dance" suggested my mom

"Sure but that won't be enough we need to put her over the edge" she said trying to think of something better

"But you only did a dance" I pointed out mentioning the time she did the pageant

"That was then this is now" she said and continued to think

"Can't you add gymnastics with dance" said my mom and Chloe's smile brightened

"Totally, and I can even choreograph the dance" she said and my mom nodded before Chloe dragged me into another room to practice

"Chloe I don't think I can do this" I said

"I know your not talking about the gymnastic part since you've been doing that since you can walk so I'm guessing it's about the dancing part" she asked, it's funny how she knows everything about me
