By the time the group got back, it was nearly night. It seemed the trip had went well as they had bags of  catchings.

Leya and I didn't talk much after our recent conversation. However, I knew we were civil enough to stop shooting each other death glares.

I settled in a spot near the pond. The ground was hard with gravel but everyone had grown used to it. I tried to sleep. I tried to sleep with all my might. However, there was still a part of me that was scared. Elena was still alive. She was alive and might be angry with me for not going along with her plan and killing her ally. The ally that had helped her rally up other Sixth.

"We need freedom,"

That was her reasoning. Her explanation for a Sixth nature. They didn't need freedom to kill humans at any time. No, they needed freedom from the curse that had befallen them. Its been so long since the experiment that I'm sure everyone has forgotten that its a disease. A disease that has forced us to run and hide behind barriers and force fields.

I couldn't sleep because now my mind was running wild with theories. I looked around our campground. A fellow hunter who I recognized as Veronica was keeping watch tonight along with another red-haired boy.

Dylan and David along with other Hunters were huddled over a small fire that could barely been see  in the woods. Ms. Newton had no idea they were going against the rules as she was sound asleep.

I limped over to that group, settling down next to Dylan. "You seem okay."

He looked over at me and shrugged. "Just a slight concussion but I'm fine."

"If you say so." I teased. Dylan was the type of person that could run right through a boulder, bloody and bruised, and still manage to be okay.

I tried to tune into the chatter that went about.

"I say we just move to Station Six," said a mousy-haired girl. "They don't have a lot of Sixth there since they're the farthest away from the science lab and they're near water and we all know Sixth don't like water."

"Hasn't stopped them before." David muttered.

The girl simply glared. "I know the facts. Sixth may be invincible but they still have some vulnerbility."

"Its because they were once like us, right?"

We all turned to see Leya, to our surprise, coming towards us. She had seperated from her girly popular clan to join in.  However, that wasn't what had me appalled. It was the fact that she had actually distanced herself from Silk again.

"No they weren't." The girl said. "They've always been monsters."

"No," I hadn't realized I was talking until I seen the surprised reactions. "We have to remember this is a disease that infected them. They didn't choose to be this way-" Well at least some of them. "Maybe if there was a-"

"Alina, don't even go that way." The girl went on. "Theres no cure and theres no way we're going to end all of this."

"So I guess Christie is doomed then, huh?" Leya spoke softly, running her fingers through a lock of blonde hair.

That hit deep. Christine had been bitten and she still wasn't recovering. It was already clear that bites turn people.  What would happen when all of the station found out about this new information? I managed to speak, "If this is a disease, theres always a cure."

"Then why haven't we found one for cancer?" The girl snapped. "There is no cure! We're helpless!"

"Well I think we shouldn't give up hope, Maddie." Dylan said.
