I am flying up, up, up, and up.
Nothing is above me except a thick brass wall and I outstretch my hands to push myself back. However, I go through the wall.
I don't have any time to react.
Lexi is in our room, cuddling her old teddy bear she had had back in kindergarten. I would have laughed at her but I could see the tears sliding down her cheeks.
"Lexi, are you okay?" I asked softly, joining her on the bed, cradling her.
"He's gone." She sniffed. "He's gone."
I woke up with a quick gasp, sweat pouring down my face.
I look around and was relieved to see that everyone was still here. We had found a big towering oak tree and decided to use it for comfort tonight. I had used some of its' moss to make soft beds for everyone.
Dylan laid a few inches away from me, his ears bandaged for the night.
"Just a dream." I sighed. That would become a reality.
I tried to snuggle back to sleep on my moss bed but I didn't realize the dreams weren't over.
The lights flickered heavily as i walked down a hallway. I passed several rooms until I appeared to find the one I wanted. Christine?
No.
Ethan Weaver.
I gasped as this was the first time I had seen him since the false flashbacks Elena had given me. He looked the same however a sickly tint added to his skin tone. Many had said he was dying from an acoholic disease. Some said he was dying from Cancer.
He was a smoker.
Lung Disease.
I almost gasped at how fast my thoughts answered me. Was I not alone besides the unconcious man standing before me?
I wanted to look back but something had stopped me from doing so. Instead I walked towards Ethan and leaned over his head board.
All kinds of cords were attached to him as he slept peacefully.
"Ethan-"
"Ethan."
I gasped at the new voice in the room - and then I woke up.
I woke up in a puddle of my sweat, breathing heavily as I waited for the dreamy daze to pass. I didn't realize I had been hugging myself so hard, my fingers wouldn't unhook from my shirt.
After prying them off, I checked my surroundings again. Everyone was still in their usual spot except this time, another boy and Silk were keeping watch. They didn't hear me wake up so I laid back down.
My body was shaking.
Yet I closed my eyes.
"Are you sure its safe to come over?" I whispered as I followed Christine into her house.
She flipped the light switch on to reveal a vanilla - decorated (and scented) living room. A white - bleached couch stood in front of a large screen TV. Merri - lee was, once again, on the screen.
I knew it wasn't good to be her as Christine's Foster mother was really strict with her 'daughter'. So I was cautious as I slowly sat down on the couch.
"Ugh, this is a re-run." Christine groaned as she side-glanced the TV before walking into the connected Kitchen.
I shrugged. "Merri-lee has a life too. She can't keep broadcasting every second."
