The next day, you were off work again. You had thought about talking with Grillby and meeting up at local cafe since you felt bad for leaving him at the pub the day before. You knew he didn't work on Sundays, since you have tried to visit on a Sunday once before. It turned out that the pub was closed, and you had to walk back to your house, alone.
You lazily threw the sheets off of your body, got up from your bed and got dressed. You didn't really want to wear anything special, so you just wore something casual. You wore a black hoodie, light-blue skinny jeans and a pair of red converse. It wasn't like you were going on a date with Grillby, it was only gonna be a meetup. You washed your face, fixed up your hair and got out of your bedroom. You grab your phone from in-between the cushions of your couch and dial Grillby's number.
It rings for a couple seconds.
"Hello?"
You run your hand through your hair, "Hey, Grillby. It's (Y/N)."
"Hey, (Y/N). What's on your mind?"
"Oh, I just thought that, um... you might wanna go for a coffee or something today?" You don't know why that was so hard to say.
"Yeah, that'd be great! Heh, I was going to ask you yesterday but, um, you know."
"Yeah... so I'll meet you at 1 at the coffee shop?"
"Yeah! See you later, (Y/N)."
"You too."
You hang up.
He sounded so delighted and you smiled at how happy he was. He was very cute when he was happy, his fire would be bright and he was very cheerful. You laid on the couch and checked the time, 12:02. You still had an hour until you would meet him at the shop.
{TIMESKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY METTATON'S SEXY LEGS... so sexy.}
You check the time again, 12:52. You figured that now would be a good time to leave. You get up from the couch and walk into the bathroom to touch up. You get out of your house, placing your hands in your hoodie pockets and walk towards your car. You step in, turn the key and pull out of your driveway. The radio becomes static as you switch between channels, finally landing on your favorite. You hum along to the tune of the track as you drive.
You finally arrive and step out of the car, locking it afterwards. You look at your phone and you're 10 minutes late. "Shit." You whisper to yourself. You walk into the store and you look around trying to find Grillby. Suddenly you hear a voice, "Hello, (Y/N)." It makes you jump. You turn around to see Grillby. Your jaw drops slightly and you blush. He looks very different without his work outfit on, he's wearing a grey t-shirt underneath a brown, collared flannel and a blue pair of jeans. The thing that attracted you the most, was his grey beanie, and with his glasses... literally made him look like a fucking hipster no joke. He looked very, VERY good.
"Woah." You say, looking at his outfit. "It's too much isn't it?" Grillby looks down at his shirt opening his arms. "No, like, god fucking damn... Grillby, you look hot!" You smile, "Pun unintended."
His flame glows full blown white and he chuckles. "That's... very flattering." He runs his fingers through the flame on the top of his head, turning his head to the ground. You smile and poke his glasses, "I know." You giggle.
You sit at a small table next to the window of the store and you literally cannot keep your eyes off of him. He leans forward with his forearms resting on the table.
"Why did you invite me, anyways?" He asks, tilting his head. "You really want to know?" You ask, smirking. He nods, you sigh. "Honestly, one, I kind of feel bad for making you third-wheel last night. And two, I, um... kind of obviously like you, so..." You blush looking to the side with a slight smile on your face. He lights up, "uh... Me too... but to you, I mean." His flame brightens. You smile and look at him. "And your very cute." He adds on. You put your hand on the back of your neck, smiling. You laugh in your flattered state and there's a short silence before you speak up. "Thank you. Also, don't get mad but... I kind of eaves dropped on you and Sans' conversation yesterday."
