From the anger inside of me, I smack the vase off of the counter, hearing
the glass shatter loudly and feeling the water pool my fluffy, pink socks.
Everything was falling apart around me. Everything was a turmoil that I
wasn't prepared for. Ignoring the fact that my socks are soaked, I put house shoes on and head out. I rip the note apart and throw it in Michael's face as I walk past him.
I get in the car, and start pulling out of the driveway. As I do that, I begin feeling this tight pressured cramp inside of me. I wasn't due for another two months. I didn't want to talk to Michael, so I feel my pockets for my phone.
'Damn, I left it on the bed!" I yell to myself loudly. I rush to the closest emergency room, feeling the adrenaline explode in me.
"Help me! I need help!" I start feeling faint and weak. There's a liquid pooling around my feet again. This time, it's not water, it's blood. The pain is increasing.
"Get her into bay 5, stat!" I hear a nurse say.
Everything's happening so fast, that I can't keep up with it.
"Stay with me, Aleese, we're here, honey." The nurse says softly in my ear. Next thing I know, I'm getting told that they're going to have to perform an emergency c-section.
I look beside me, expecting to see someone holding my hand, hearing them say "It's okay". No one's there. I hear monitors going crazy and I start feeling worse. I'm dazing in and out of this. I distantly hear, "We're losing them both, we need to do this now!"I feel a small incision go across my tummy. It doesn't hurt. I feel numb now. I feel a lot of pressure at once and then it's gone. "The baby's here, Aleese! You did it. It's a little gi..."
"Something's wrong!" The doctor interrupts.
"She's not crying, she's not breathing. The baby needs to be intubated right now."
