The next morning I rushed to get dressed, trying not to run into him. I decided on skipping breakfast and headed straight to work.
There was traffic up the ass today.
When I got to work, Jerry ran up to me.
"So, how did it go?" He asked excitedly. "Did he pop your cherry?" I groaned and hit him upside his head.
"Actually, he didn't." I said. "He might have popped someone else's."
"What do you mean?" He asked me as we walked into the kitchen. I clocked in and put my apron on.
"Well, he came home with a woman last night." I told him, causing him to frown.
"I was for sure that he had a thing for you." He said. I shrugged my shoulders.
"Well, obviously he doesn't." I said. "Maybe I just need to lose weight." He lightly smacked me in the back of the head.
"Girl, shut the fuck up." He said. "You're still hung over that douche and you need some new piece of ass."
"No I don't." I said. "I want Ethan's, but be doesn't want mine."
"Well, he's an ass for ever thinking that you're not sexy." He said.
"I haven't felt sexy in a long time." I admitted.
"That's because your ex always called you fat." He rolled his eyes. "You're just thicker than the stick figures that he likes and I'm saying that in a good way." I nodded.
"Hey, stop the chit chat and get to work." My boss said to us.
I began my shift and inwardly groaned when my mother walked into the store. What was she doing here?
"Mom?" I said.
"Hey honey." She said, coming up to the counter. "I would like four red velvet cupcakes." I nodded, getting her order. "When you get on break, call me." I smiled at her as she walked out of the store.
When my break time came, I immediately called my mom.
"Is everything alright?" I asked her. "Are you and dad okay? Do you have a medical issue?" She laughed.
"Honey no." She said. "It's not about us."
"Then what's it about?" I asked her.
"You." She said.
"What about me?" I asked.
"How do you like it there with him? Is he treating you right? Do you want to come back with us for a while?" She said. I sighed.
"Ummm... I don't know. He's okay, I guess." I said.
"Well honey, that's good." She said. "If you have any problems, just call me."
"Yes mom." I said hanging up.
When I got back to the apartment, he wasn't there. I sighed with relief and went to the refrigerator to grab a bite to eat.
I sat down on the stool in the kitchen and began to eat my Mac&Cheese. It tasted like heaven and after the long day that I've had, I deserve a little bit of heaven.
I got up and washed my dish before I headed to my room.
After an hour of looking for something to do, I ended up trying on a few of the dresses he bought me.
He walked into the closet not long after without knocking. I stood there with my underwear and bra on. I squealed and covered myself as best as I could with my hands.
"Sorry, I've been calling your name for the last ten minutes." He apologized. "I had to see if you were okay." I nodded.
"Ummmm, can you get out?" I asked quite harshly. He frowned.
"I'm taking you out for dinner tonight so we can talk, since you obviously hate me for some odd reason." He laughed. I sighed.
"I already have plans." I said.
"Then cancel them." He said walking out of my room.
I groaned and looked around the closet trying to decide on what to wear. When I did, it ended up being a beautiful maroon dress and a pair of high heels to match.
I met him in the living room where he stood with a shocked look on his face. His mouth was hanging open when he took me in.
"You might want to close your mouth before you catch flies." I told him before heading out of the apartment with him on my tail.
