I woke up to the smell of bacon.

I sat up in my bed, rubbing my eyes. I looked at my phone to check the time.

8:13 a.m.

I don't go to work until noon.

I got up off of my bed and walked out of my room, heading to the kitchen. I giggled to myself when I saw Ethan standing with a spatula in his hand acting as if it was a microphone while he sung along to Thinking out loud~ by Ed Sheeran.

I watched him as he moved effortlessly around the kitchen. He looked really good in his tight white t shirt. I admired his muscles as he worked away.

Once he finally noticed me, he looked embarrassed.

"How long have you been standing there?" He asked me.

"Long enough to know that you love Ed Sheeran." I said, laughing. I could see the faint blush on his cheeks and it made him even sexier.

"I'm making breakfast." He said, flipping a pancake into the air. I laughed as it almost fell on the ground. "That was close."

"Too close." I said.

"Do you have work today?" He asked me. I nodded. "When do you go?"

"Noon." I said.

"Oh." I said. Awkward silence enveloped us as he finished cooking. I wanted so badly to kiss him again, but I knew that it was wrong.

We were rushing things and I didn't want to make myself feel like he's my distraction from reality, even if his lips on mine were worth the feeling.

He handed me my food and we ate in silence.

"Thanks for breakfast." I said to him, washing my dish. I turned around so that I was facing him and we made eye contact. Not one of us looked away first.

But then I did after awhile.

"I'm going to go for a walk." I said, walking out of the kitchen, not waiting for his reply.

"Wait," he called out after me. I sighed and let him stop me before I walked out of the front door, "I'm sorry about last night."

"Which part?" I asked.

"The part where I kissed you without permission," he sighed, "it's just hard for me to control myself when you're around. You're so beautiful India. From the inside out."
