Time skip a week

Joey's pov

I've gotten to know shane a little bit and he's actually an interesting guy. He has a brother and sister and dad but no mom. I told him about my family but not about our problems because be honest, no one wants to hear about that. Today we were in our social studies and i kinda liked this class. Our teacher was all for gay peopl ebut i still wouldn't tell him about who i was personally.

Mr Allen: Good afternoon class, for the next few weeks you are all going to have an assignment.

I looked up from my notebook with a smile. I love his assignments, they're usually on topics that teans can relate to in some way. Or they're just fun.

Mr Allen: You all will partner up and do a paper on mythology.

I had to keep myself from squealing. Mystic creatures were always my favorite thing to study growing up. I had my mom get me a book and everything. Yea i was made fun of but at the time i couldn't care less.

Mr Allen: I have already chosen your partner based on who i think you would be compatible with.

He read off the names and i listened intently for mine.

Mr Allen:Damien with Jordan, Crista with Madison, Adam and Zander, Joey and Shane.

My heart stopped, out of the thirty people in this class you couldn't have paired me with someone else? Was it really that hard to do? I mean yes shane is amazing but i feel like i'm gonna let it slip that i might like him. Oh well, better just hosh my mouth and bite my tongue.

Shane's pov

Really? Mythological creatures? I know everything there is to know about them but no one can know that.god damn and why did i have to paired with joey? Yea he's awesome but i'm scared being around a human too long my urges will come back. It's already strange enough that i can't read his mind but he'll probably be irresistable.

That and isaac is going to murder me if i bring him home with me. Deep breaths shane, deep breaths. We all sat next to our partners and i smiled.

Joey: So meet at your house at six?

Shane: U-Um, why not your house?

Joey: Cause reasons. Now yes or no?

Shane: Damn, didn't know you had a spine in there.

He rolled his eyes and wrote down the notes mr allen gave us. I tapped my pencil rapidly as i couldn't pay attention. The sun was incredibly bright today, and i mean brighter then usual. And guess what? This classroom has big windows that let sunlight just pour in and burn me. I started to feel lightheaded and i groaned putting my head on my desk.

Mr Allen: Shane are you alright?

Shane: Yes sir just a bit of a migraine.

Mr Allen: If you need to be excused to the nurse's office then you can go.

I noded and almost ran out of the room. My vision was blurred and i stumbled around the hallway. I pressed my head against the lockers as i felt my fangs push through my gums and my body felt warm.

Voice: Calm down shane, you're gonna need your stregnth.

Shane: Who are you? Get out of my head.

Voice: Hush, there is something coming for your precious joey. Watch your back young vampire.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and i turned around nailing the person in the nose. To my misfortune i had just nailed joey in the nose. He was on the ground holding his nose and he was bleeding.
