Chapter 17

[Okay so i kinda sorta forgot all of my ideas that i was gonna use soooooooo i'm just gonna wing it hehe :)]

Dagon's pov

The time is drawing closer for my plan to come together. Lucifer is getting weaker by the day and time is running out for him. If i am to get my place at his right hand before his time comes to a close then i will be forever cursed to be his glorified secratary. Orcus right now is next in line to rule once lucifer passes and i'm determined to not have that happen. I will rule hell i swear to it.

My thoughts were interrupted by the door creaking open

Orcus: I see you're back to your scheeming aren't you?

Dagon: What else would i be doing?

He adjusted his glasses and caught me by surprise. He grabbed my collar and threw mme carelessly into a wall making the contact echo through the room. My head throbbed and my vision was slightly blurred. He lifted me by my neck and his eyes were a solid black.

Orcus: I know what you're planning to do you sniveling pig. I will be the next king of hell and you will worship the ground i walk on understand?

I glared and kicked his gut as he stumbled backwards. I brushed the dust off of me and crossed my arms smiling. I walked towards him and whispered in his ear.

Dagon:  Hell will be a pile of rubbel before i would ever let that happen

I could've sworn i felt him shiver as i whispered but i was probably seeing things.

Dagon: Bye now

I tossed him out and shut my door running m fingers through my hair. Nothing is going to stop me from my destiny.

Shane's pov

I woke up to joey on top of me staring. I jumped and we headbutted, i groaned as did he as he rolled off. I rubbed my forehead and sat up looking at him.

Shane: Why do you do that? It's creepy

Joey: You just looked pretty. And i thought vampires didn't sleep

Shane: Well we do so eh.

We got up and stretched.

Joey: The sky is eerily dark today.....

Shane: Huh?

I looked outside and the entire sky was covered by dark clouds even though the weather was supposed to be sunny. I could swear some of the clouds were moving in circles but i don't know with this place.

Shane: It's probably just a wrong weather prediction again.

We chuckled and got dressed walking downstairs to see isaac and jaden watching TV in their pjs. Well that's a first.

Isaac: Morning, i'm guessing you two slept well considering your intense bedhead.

Joey: I slept well thank you.

Shane: Oh shut up.

We went to the kitchen and emma was at the bar eating cereal. Yes i know what you're thinking. Vampires only drink blood they don't need food. Well food is fucking good and there's a variety of it. So i choose to have it.

Shane: Whatcha want this morning?

Joey: Just oatmeal please.

We quickly made it and ate together in silence besides the TV playing behind us.

Emma: Are you two in love?

Joey: Nope

Shane: ....well that stings like a real bitch.

Joey: We're not even dating yet. So you'll wait.

Emma: Ooh rejection i like it.

We laughed and lounged around watching tv with the others for about two hours just being lazy. Jaden stood up and stretched exposing his fangs at the strain.

Jaden: Let's all go on a walk yea?

Isaac: But it's so dreary out.

Jaden: Exactly, perfect weather for us creatures of the night

Isaac snickered and sat there for a second pondering the thought.

Isaac: Oh what the hell it won't kill us.

Joey: But you're already dead.

The room went silent and he blushed deeply hiding his face under a pillow as we smiled.

Jaden's pov

Although i'm at the happiest i've ever been i still feel off like something bad is about to happen. I always get this weird gut feeling when something is about to go horribly but for once in my long life i'm having fun with my family so today i'm going to ignore it and enjoy myself for once.

We all got dressed and went outside walking down the pathway behind our house. It was like a hiking trail withougt actually hiking cause the ground was smooth.

Jaden: Oh wow look at the leaves.

It was around fall and the weather was rather cool today. All the leaves were vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. Some merged colors and were stunning. I took a few pictures with my phone and smiled.

Emma: You a photographer now?

I stuck my tongue out and smiled.

Jaden: At least it's a fun habit cloud watcher

Joey: Savage.

We laughed and the wind picked up slightly. Joey shivered and walked closer to shane. That made me sad because i realized i'll probably never find affection like that. Because i look fourteen no one will want to be with me.....i never wanted this disease of immortality.

Isaac: Something on your mind kid?

Jaden: Nope. Everything is all good up here.

Shane's pov

I looked at joey and i smiled knowing he will be mine soon enough. His eyes shined with hope and life just by looking at his surroundings. I  gave him my jacket to warm up and his smile reminded me of pearls that were placed in the sun. His little nose crinkled as the wind blew and his delicate hands gripped tightly to the jacket sleeves. He is the walking definition of beauty in a human.

Joey: Hellooooo earth to shane.

Shane: Yea? What?

Joey: Nothing you just spaced out.

I nodded and went to reach for his hand.

Joey's pov

I saw him reaching for my hand and i blushed when i felt two hands grip my shoulders and i was lifted off the ground. I screamed and reached backwards trying to make whoever this was release his grip.

???: I'm sick of waiting around.

He screeched and his grip got tighter. He dropped me and i hit the ground with a thud.
