Chapter 14

Joey's pov

I checked jaden's face and kissed his cheek as he whimpered.

Joey: Can you tell me what shane was talking about?

Jaden: M-mhm

He wiped his eyes and we sat back down on my bed. I gently rubbed his back and he sighed.

Jaden: Vampires have this thing they do. If a vampire feels very passionate feelings for a certain person they can choose to bond with them. It's kinda like a seal so that we can be together forever.

Joey: You felt that way about me?

Jaden: Mhm.....you just seemed so nice....and i'm so tired of being alone. Emma makes it seem like she cares but i know she doesn't.

Joey: You don't have to be alone but you don't have to make a bond with me either.

Jaden: I'm s-sorry...don't hurt me.

Joey: I wouldn't think of it.

He hugged me tightly and i happily sighed. He is awfully cute.

Dagon's pov

I closed my looking glass and i tossed my glasses on the table.

Orcus: Seems like he's getting drawn to another. Are you failing?

He dramatically placed his hand on his chest and i kicked his shin.

Orcus: FUCK

Dagon: Are you in pain?

I dramatically gasped and chuckled at his pain. That bastard, i would say burn in hell but we've done that for centuries now.

Dagon: Love is like a maze. It takes time and it gets frustrating. They have only begun it my dear.

I patted his face and grabbed my glasses walking to my room and going over my papers. Just like a game of chess, i'm going to use every last pawn i have at my disposal. I smirked and went to my library.

Dagon: What pawn to use.

Shane's pov

I continued running and i rested in my favorite hiding spot. It was a secluded forest and it was just a place i liked to relax. I sat down and thought about what just happened. Joey's words kept flying through my head and i winced thinking about it. I've never seen him so angry ever before in all the time i've known him. And i mean in ALL the time. All those years i've never seen such anger in his eyes.

Shane: Why are you so stupid?

I held my head in my hands and sighed. I felt a hand on my shoulder and i jumped hissing as i turned around. Isaac chuckled and sat next to me.

Shane: How the hell did you find me?

Isaac: I just traced your scent.

Shane: Course, what do you want?

Isaac: What's up with you?

Shane: Nothing.

Isaac: Don't lie to me shane. You know what happened last time.

Shane: Quite frankly i don't give a f-

He tackled me and twisted my arm behind my back tightly and he slowly started snapping my arm.

Shane: OK OK FUCKING HELL LET GO AGH!!!

He let go of me and i sat up rubbing my wrist as i healed.

Isaac: Now tell me.

Shane: I caught jaden trying to bond with joey and i went off of him. I slapped him and he started to cry, joey screamed at me and kicked me out.

Isaac: Why'd you go off on him?

Shane: Cause joey is MINE to bond with.

Isaac: Then why haven't you done it already?

Shane: Huh?

Isaac: If you're so posessive about him then why haven't you?

Shane: H-He didn't love me enough

Isaac: What makes you think he loves jaden?

Shane: They were BONDING!!!

Isaac: It was an extensive amount of contact. Joey wasn't in love just in awe.

I went silent and my face turned dark red. I face palmed many times as isaac laughed.

Isaac: You didn't know that?

Shane: Fuck off.

He looked at me with the serious eyes that i hate to look at. They pierce your soul and tear it to shreads he has those lifeless eyes. You can tell he's seen some awful things.

Isaac: If you truly love him then you will man the fuck up and tell him. God you're acting like a teen girl.

He scoffed and ran off as he left me there to think. I mean....i guess he's right. I'm so scared of rejection that i've let that blink my actual love fore him...damn i hate when isaac is right. I stood up and walked around for a while just trying to think of an apology.

Joey's pov

I was in school thinking about how maybe i overreacted. But shane had no reason to do that to jaden. Jaden is just so innocent as far as i know at least.

Sawyer: Hey joey.

He caught up to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I smiled and trudged with him.

Sawyer: Haven't really heard from you since the whole almost got killed thing.

Joey: Yea i've missed you so much.

Sawyer: Same here. Ok so it's friday. Let's hit the town and get bitches.

We look at each other and laughed til our faces turned red. I slapped his shoulder and wiped my eyes.

Sawyer: I'm clearly lying. Let's order a crap ton of different pizzas, get some chips, some soda, and some video games. My place?

Joey: Sounds like heaven.

He smiled and i smiled back as we walked to class. Maybe today might not be that awful. I shrugged and sawyer nudged my hair.

Joey: Nooo don't mess it up.

I style it back correctly and i sigh as we sit down. The teacher babbled on and everything kind of went blank for me.

Sawyer's pov

I looked over at joey and he looked spaced out and drugged beyond the legal point. His eyes were wide and he picked up his pencil opening his notebook. He started quickly drawing and sketching circles and patterns. After fifteen minutes he dropped the pencil and breathed heavily. Hie eyes rolled back and i caught him before he fell out of his chair.

Sawyer; Woa joey it's ok. Stay with me.

He shivered and snuggled closer as i looked at his drawing. It was a big hole in the woods, he was falling into it. I shivered and closed the book holding him tighter. Something isn't right.
