The Darkness of The Mind

Sorry these are so short! I will try to write longer ones!

I rush through the deep in the currents of my mind,

And fall through the waters, swamped in darkness, I am blind.

I am wreathed in a cloak of darkness, the light long gone.

And in the shadows I feel lurking, the hiding fears of dawn.

Not a rest, not a stop, not a gasp for breath.

I choke in the blackness of my mind, of my death.

A rain will start to fall on the surface far away.

As I keep on sinking down, never reaching a new day.

I settle on the bottom with naught a gentle thud.

And beasts from deep forward come, with not a gentle nudge.

I fall onto sea bottom, fall down with the rest.

And realize with a start, that it's not over yet.

Darkness swamps me now, and forever it shall yet.

And I open eyes, alive, but not for long I'll bet.

Can you please comment? That way I will know if I should keep on writing more of these or not.
