The inner darkness is so quite,
the roaring fire always hides it,
the glows reflecting off the heart,
and wreathing shadows 'round the hearth.
She falls as metal glints in light,
and plunges deep into once had life,
the pain in eyes the last to see,
of the world she once had been.
The bright falls low as steel goes deep:
expires heart that will now sleep.
Sleep forever till the day
she will feel brightness once again.
The beep of machines now awakes her,
all the fire gone within her.
Her heart is strong and steady, dark.
She yet survived, but only just.
The grief is strong but awakened, yes.
She wants to fall asleep again.
Never wake up, always fall,
to the glinting steel of all.
