Black and White Day and Night

Soundless

Raging fire, ashes scream

their song through darkened clouds. 

His heart was torn and now it's sown

with blackened, sooty threads. 

His laugh was fire, black as night

burning bright with deathly light

that bore its grinning ray a thousand 

miles through the ground. 

A single laugh was all it took to

paralyze her heart. 

A single cry is all it takes

to tear the two apart. 

And now he sits with shaking limbs

upon the burnt out floor. 

She has turned from all his pleas

Soundlessly torn down the door. 

Soundlessly kicked down his walls,

soundlessly she laughed. 

Soundlessly he screamed in pain

as ashes curled through broken walls.
