Forgiveness

A stir, a whisper in desperate trees.

A beam of moonlight landing, please.

I beg forgiveness on my knees,

I fall, I tumble, scream, forget.

Falling to my own dear hit,

Smooth cold steel,

a laugh of glee,

help me fall down,

help me flee.

Misty glimmers on moonlit night.

Drop of dew, touch of fright.

A surreal glow to fallen leaves.

Hail those fallen, hail those trees.

Don't die yet, I have life still.

Desperation, rising till

I see the moonlight touching trees,

as I fall on my aching knees.

Touching the dew that drips on me,

Rising softly, touching air,

In the hopes you will be there.
